We spent the whole month in this house and hated to leave it! All the porches were fantastic and the ocean view just could not be beat! Greg was very attentive and quick to respond when we had a problem with the dishwasher. He was there 2 days later with a brand new one. We hope to come back and stay again! ##### faith h. By far the best vaca yet. It was my husband and I and our 3 grown children with their significant others, and one dog! We all had our own space, the set up was wonderful!! We each had our own bathroom and at night we hung out at the pool table and played games. I can’t think of anything else we needed. It was perfect! Cannot Wait to come back. We took our teenage son and 6 of his buddies to the beach for a week, and this house was well suited to this group of boys. Beach, pier close by, pool table and big screen tv on the lower level for times when it was not sunny, and easy walking distance from Target/Starbucks, Jolly Roger restaurant, and convenience stores. We tend to cook at home rather than go to restaurants, and the kitchen was well-appointed for all we needed. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were updated. The kitchen/dining/smaller sitting area on the upper floor was also updated, while the rest of the house was the more traditional wooden walls of the Outer Banks houses. May 22, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Great house in a great location This was our second year coming to OBX in mid-May and while the weather didn't really cooperate this time we still had a wonderful visit with friends thanks in part to the comfort and amenities of this house. Location is right on the beach in the heart of Kill Devil Hills with a great deck off the kitchen/living area overlooking the dunes and ocean, and there's a lower level deck with a nice hot tub. The house is obviously an old classic beach house as seen from the outside but has been fully updated with modern bathrooms and kitchen, and everything is nicely appointed. The house was found very clean on arrival. The downstairs "rec area" has a nice quality pool table (an old repurposed bar table) that we also enjoyed. You'll be in for plenty of stair climbing to get in and out of the property so keep this in mind if you anyone in your party is disabled, but for the able-bodied this is a great find. ##### Robert S. We were a group of 6 adults and one child under 3! Loved that 3 of the bedrooms had attached bathrooms so each set of adults had our privacy! Plenty of room to spread out with a rec room on one level and sitting area and large kitchen table on an upper level. We spent mornings having coffee on the front porch on rocking chairs and the evenings on the back deck overlooking the ocean! Can’t get better than that! However it does! House was very clean, plenty of towels, beach chairs, and beach toys. Kitchen was well stocked with all necessities including plenty of spices! We spent most days on the beach that was steps away; however, grocery store, restaurants, miniature golf, parks, etc.. are minutes away. This beach house was homey with a family cottage vibe. That’s exactly what we were looking for - old charm and modern amenities. All four bedrooms are private and isolated from each other. No neighbors to the north, which makes view from oceanfront deck even better. There is a lower covered porch with old-style awnings. Great place to hang out in the evenings with a breeze. Some boards above this porch were falling and letting debris down onto porch floor. I let host know and he was quick to respond. I went ahead and cleaned it up because I wanted to enjoy the porch sooner rather than later.
