Bypass check-in at the office and proceed directly to the home at designated check-in time with the convenience of keyless entry!

This spacious home offers the perfect floor plan for families. Keyless entry on the ground level provides easy access into the spacious rec room with pool table, living area (with Queen sleep sofa and TV) and wet bar with mini fridge. One level up (mid-level) you'll find 4 bedrooms (two bedrooms are masters with private bath and the other 2 share a hall bath) as well as the hot tub on the East deck. The top level includes the fully equipped kitchen, living room with flat screen HDTV, king master bedroom, decks and ocean views! From the top-level decks you can step up to the crows nest for even better ocean view AND views of the Wright Brothers Monument!

After a long day at the beach, you'll love to rinse off in the outside shower right before taking a plunge in the private pool! Around the pool deck you can soak up the sun in the pool lounge chairs or enjoy an outdoor dinner with use of the park grill and picnic table! There is a covered carport for one car, but the uncovered driveway can hold an additional 4 cars. The nearest beach access is 350 yards South at Asheville Street which is less than a 5 minute walk on the beach road. Asheville Street beach access is lifeguarded during the Summer season and offers shower/rinse area and paved parking (with handicap parking).

Boss's Playhouse is centrally located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills at Milepost 7.5 and is within walking distance to restaurants, shops and Food Lion grocery store! The Wright Brothers Memorial is less than 1 mile away and you have a beautiful view of the monument from the top level! The Avalon Fishing Pier is 1.5 miles North on the beach road. Other nearby attractions are movie theaters & putt-putt.

Mid Level: Four of five bedrooms located on the mid-level. Master bedroom with King, TV, Full Bath. Master Bedroom with Queen, TV, Full Bath. Bedroom with Queen, TV. Bedroom with Pyramid Bed & Trundle, TV. Shared Full Bath. Deck with Hot Tub.

Upper Level: Master w/King with TV & Full Bath. Kitchen with breakfast bar seating 5-6. Dining table seats 8, Highchair. Living room with sofas and chairs, flat screen TV. Decks with stairs to crow's nest for views of the Wright Brothers Monument.

Great Time but Property Outdated

Location and size of property is great. There are 3 floors…the house gets more outdated with each level. Very old furnishings (chairs, couches, beds) likely from the early 90’s. As a result, they feel dirty and worn. Extremely outdated pictures, lamps, decor…desperately needs refreshing. Old coffee makers, old dishes, old broken blinds…old. Wouldn’t take much to bring this house into the current decade. Overlook balcony needs maintenance! There is no garbage disposal. No modern appliances.

Great vacation spot

Loved most everything about this house, close to the beach and stores and restaurants, on a nice culdesac. The house was very clean and had everything a large family would need for a wonderful vacation! The only drawback is that the decks need some work! I definitely recommend this lovely home!

Don't Hesitate!!!

I was a little nervous booking this location for our mini-family reunion due to the mixed reviews. DO NOT EVEN HESITATE!! The Boss' Playhouse is perfect in every way!! We were a family of 4 adult couples (ages 21-65), 3 college kids and one 12 year old (12 people total). There was plenty of space for everyone and despite spending an entire week together, we had enough space to never get on each other's nerves. The house was immaculate, plenty of linens and towels were provided (we paid for the linen service), the pool and hot tub were fabulous (and used every, single day of our weeklong stay!) We walked to the beach every day with no issues (including our 65 year old patriarch, so not sure why people were complaining about the distance to the beach?!) Conveniently located close to plenty of good restaurants to eat at and the grocery store. We will most definitely be returning!

Huge disappointment, not clean, needs maintenance big time

Upon checking in I noticed garbage outside of the front door, cigarette butts everywhere outside and around the pool deck, the carpet is an off white and complete stained and disgusting. The step to the crows nest was broken and left there unfixed, the fridge struggles to work when you are loading it, the ends of the pool table are broken off, there were burnt out lights, lamps not working, a huge picture fell off the wall while we were at the beach onto the bed one day. Only half the toaster works, one of the large burners on the stove doesn’t work. There is a lot of cooking utensils and basic cookware that is missing, especially when trying to cook for a crowd. There was food left behind by the former visitors, just really makes me question the cleanliness and what kind of inspection is done when people check out and check in is much later (5:30 pm) to allow for extra time to clean? I had to get in contact with the property management company a few times with these issues and then I just got sick of having to call and deal with stuff. Not what I want to spend my vacation doing. The pool guy came by unannounced and let us know the pool had ZERO chlorine in it which was nice given that there is a pandemic, then turns the hose on to fill the pool and leaves the water running for hours. Never came back so I called the property mgmt contact again to ask if we should be shutting it off? Aside from the proximity to the beach and the size, I have nothing good to say about the house and would never stay here again.

Great vacation home

Although the house wasnt cleaned properly when we arrived (hand rails dirty, hair on wall in shower , trash in the outside shower, all the pot holders in drawers were dirty ,ect) we enjoyed our stay and would still stay again and recommend this home for others. The house and pool was bigger then we expected. It needs some updating, furniture, pots and pans, knives. Overall we enjoyed this home.

Great location. Very spacious

We enjoyed our stay! First night we were there, there was a bad storm and our cable stopped working. Management replaced all boxes only to have the common area still not work. I suppose it was a blessing! We played games every night instead of being glued to a TV!

Great vacation spot for our family.

This house was perfect for our family vacation. It had ample space for everyone and was in a great location close to beach access and stores. The bunkbed/trundle bedroom says it has a shared bath with one of the masters. This bathroom is actually a Jack and Jill between the two bedrooms which was perfect for my daughter's family with little kids. That was actually a nice surprise! Pros: clean, comfy beds, plenty of space, clean pool, location on dead-end road, outdoor shower, hot tub, well equipped kitchen, two fridges (one in kitchen, one in basement) Cons: some broken furniture (living room chair, basement sofa bed, dining chairs need gluing), stained carpet, nails popping in ceiling, some outdoor stairs need repair, no net on outdoor hoop, general indoor and outdoor maintenance was needed Overall, this was a nice place to stay and we had an excellent time together for one of our most memorable family vacations. We would rent this property again. It fit our family well.

Nice sized rooms, great pool, friendly reps at the realty helped w efficiency and even accommodated early arrival. Home could’ve been cleaner but not complaining and even friendly neighbors.
