Hotel plutôt bien situé a 25 minutes à pied du centre ville. Place de parking gratuite devant l'hotel ce qui est plutot pratique. Chambre spacieuse. Literie correcte. Gros effort a faire sur la propreté, en effet les draps du lit et les serviette etzient tachés. Ainsi la propriété de la chambre et la salle de bain etaient limite.... (cheveux pas terre.. poussiere... sol collant..)

Hotel impeccable...
Une ambiance surannée très agréable. Un monsieur d'un certain âge se trouve à la réception avec un anglais impeccable vous expliquant le fonctionnement de l'hôtel et par la suite la façon de rejoindre le centre-ville de la meilleure des façons. Un retour vers le passé très sympa. Nous avions réservé 2 chambres double qui était censées avoir des douches on en a eu qu'une sur deux mis à part ce détail rien à dire. Le centre-ville se trouve quand même à une bonne vingtaine de minutes à pieds. Allez y sans hésitation.

I must however say that regarding the rooms allocated to you, 1 had shower only & the other had a bath aswell as a shower. Had you asked for rooms with shower only, I would have done my best to facilitate your request. Although the city centre is 20 minutes walk, you can order a taxi using the courtesy telephone at reception (€7.00 for 2 people) or there is a direct bus service from opposite the hotel (€2.00 per person). I booked this room last minute. The room was clean and spacious. But the older gentleman at the front desk made the review a 5 star. He was so friendly and polite. I would recommend this hotel.

Brendan on front desk is a star. Every hotel should have a Brendan. I dropped key on the way to reception and left hotel. Then few hours later noticed that I had not got key .panic and searched everywhere no key. Brendan had got key found on hotel floor and emailed me. Where else would you get that. Thank you .Our hotel was very clean and staff v friendly Felt like i was staying with friends Would give 10 out 5 if i could. Beautiful setting

Highly Recommend - Lovely stafd
We had to cancel our other accommodation at late notice due to a problem with the other hotel and we are so glad we did as this meant that we found this gem. The hotel was lovely. Quiet and clean and all the staff were great - especially Brendan on reception who couldn’t have been nicer. Would definitely recommend and we would definitely stay again

Great hotel
A very nice hotel, very cozy, staff is super nice and welcoming. They have a nice bar with drink and food. Rooms are clean, spacious and cozy. Beds are comfy. It’s about a 20 min walk into Kilkenny city center about a mile. If you don’t mind walking or have a car (about 5 mins into town by car) it’s a great place to stay for the price. 10/10 recommend

Sadly we were not impressed by this establishment. Things did not start well - at check in we asked if we could get some lunch and were told 'yes of course the restaurant is open until 3pm'. The receptionist took us across to the restaurant and a lady came to tell us they were closed - despite it being 20 minutes before 'closing' Our second floor room (no lift available) was disappointing- a double bed and an unasked for single bed. The decor was tired with some odd 'boutiquey' touches although the bed was comfortable enough. There was one plug point for our use and a complicated TV system with no instructions but Netflix on tap but FTA channels difficult to locate. The bathroom was very old, with a dripping tap, a rickety shower door and no hand shower. The towels were threadbare and there was a lack of shelf space and no shaving point. No bathroom (or other) items for our personal use were provided, simply soap and shampoo dispensers. During our stay the level of cleanliness left something to be desired, with surfaces clearly untouched and hard floors clearly not washed during our stay (although complaints improved it slightly during our week). The hot water system is switched off during the night and early morning showers were cool ones. We are loathe to criticise family run hotels like this one, but frankly this establishment charges top money and delivers something far short of value for that money.

Good place. Right on one of the few Kilkenny bus lines, necessary for those with no car. The only lack is electricity, just one socket for plugging in all our electronics.

Paid for bed and breakfast to be told the next morning it was room only. Bar food was also disgusting - like 2/10 disgusting

I was on a business trip. This hotel is perfect, it's efficient, clean and well run.Good wi-fi and good food. I would stay again.
