Great location! Well equipped kitchen!
Anini Mauka Kauai is the ideal home for our vacation style. We loved walking to Kalihiwai beach for the day, and enjoyed the well equipped kitchen for self catering our group of adults.

Amazing Place
The house was more than accommodating for 7 of us. The kitchen was equipped with EVERYTHING! the living room has a big enough sofa for everyone to sit comfortably, screened patio was an added extra, much needed, due to the mosquitos. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Everything needed for the beach was there. The only issues was the ceiling vent to draw hot air out wasn't working, but fans were provided. Hotter inside than outside some nights. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to staying again

Kauai paradise
This home was amazing. We traveled with our 3 teen boys and it was perfect, exactly as listed. So spacious and beautiful. The quiet neighborhood was awesome. The citrus in the yard is some of the best and oh so juicy!!! Very well stocked kitchen with just about anything you could need. The supplies for the beach were great. Chairs, umbrellas, cooler, boogie boards, noodles, beach towels…... We absolutely loved this place. Will definitely be back. Kauai is becoming a yearly tradition for our family and this place was the best yet.

Wonderful home in Kauai
This home is in a quiet neighborhood near Anini beach (3 minutes drive) that makes you feel like a local. Everyone living around you is a local and it's a great base to head to Kilauea, Hanalei, Kapa'a, or anywhere you'd like to go, with so many local and hidden gems worth exploring. The living/dining room is sizable and allowed our whole family to be comfortable. And the host was great communicating with any questions that came up or anything we needed. Overall I was very happy with the stay.

Northern Beach Paradise
We spent over a week at this property and would gladly return. The home is open, clean and simply furnished. It's ideal for families or groups and is well-stocked with games, beach gear and two beautiful porches, one large screened and one open to the morning sun. The linens were excellent and sleeping options good with the master bedroom having the best view and airflow due to many windows. Ceiling fans and standing fans made the other bedrooms very comfortable. Proximity to beaches such as Anini and Kalihiwai were the reason for our stay and are within 10 minutes by car. The street near the home is well-traveled, roosters around 4am are normal and neighbors are close but quiet hours between 9pm and 6am seemed to be universally observed. If you're extra noise sensitive, earplugs for sleeping would be helpful. Overall, this is a perfect location and a very comfortable home. We loved our stay here.

The Best Residence for Touring Friends
The Blue Anini is on Kalihiwai Road, with beaches in walking distance and amenities just up the highway at Princeville. We were a party of 3 couples with a huge SUV. We'd wake, go to the yard and pick oranges, prep breakfast and clean up then get out the door and pile into the SUV. Each couple had a room and two couples shared a bath, but it was convenient with no issues. the house is comfortable with a huge sofa and TV where we watched Superbowl LVI 56. The house has a whole house fan that cools in the summer. That's a big plus. The kitchen is large with plenty of space and a large island with an electric stovetop. Outlets are everywhere. A screened porch/lanai is at the side of the house. The beds are comfortable queen sized, and the linen is clean. I was surprised at how well maintained the house was, with wooden floors and very clean, not even a gekko in sight. This is a very well situated rental property on the north shore. For parties of six it is remarkably spacious. Grab it if you can!

A wonderful stay at Blue Anini VIlla
This is our first experience with renting a home and had I known what a great experience it would be, we would've done it long ago. First off, the property manager & her staff staff were very responsive. We couldn't locate a lid for the rice cooker and they brought a whole new one right away. I even got a call from the owner, when I had some issues figuring out the TV set up (because I'm a tech bozo). The property is great and well equipped with everything we needed for the 2 weeks we were there. It was not quite an easy walk to the nearest beach (Kalihiwai), about a mile and downhill, but my son did it every morning. My only suggestion is to re-wire the fan in the dining area to work without activating the overhead track lights. But I'm speaking as someone who wishes he had a home like this in Kilauea! We would definitely consider returning to Blue Anini Villa on our next trip to Kauai.

Perfect home away from home
We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The house was even better than it appeared to be in the pictures. I loved that we were surrounded by residential properties in a more local part of the North Shore. We were close to the best mellow snorkling beach. Such a great home.

A perfect spot for families. Lots of beach toys available and room to spread out. Pretty on the inside. No problems with allergies and asthma. Near one of the most toddler friendly swim spots protected by reef.

Perfect quiet get away
This home was the perfect place to detach for a long weekend. Very quiet neighborhood and the walk to the beach was beautiful, as was the beach. We had it all to ourselves every time! The house had everything we needed and the master bed way more comfortable than our own:>)

Perfect location and house! Super comfortable, lovely, and has everything you need.
We really enjoyed our stay here. One of our standards for judging a rental house is, "would I be comfortable if I got sick here?" And, wouldn't you know it, one of us got a cold halfway through our week here. The house was a great place to relax and recuperate, so I'd call it a WIN! The couches and beds are very comfortable (a little softer than we like, but fine quality), and the house has all the necessities for anything you'd want. Great extras like boogie boards, sand toys, umbrellas, beach towels, etc. Neighbors were super nice! There are several fruit trees on the property, and we enjoyed fresh orange juice more than one morning. The area is great - it's a long-ish walk to Anini beach, so driving is recommended unless you enjoy a 30 minute walk. We loved Anini but really liked Kalihiwai Beach just down the road. Lots of options close by, Princeville and Hanalei are so close! But the house isn't so close to things that it's noisy - it feels nice and secluded. Not a great place if you don't have a car, but otherwise perfect location! 10 out of 10 for us, this house really made our trip a wonderful experience. Thank you!

A nice cozy location o the North shore
The house was well stocked for our family vacation. The beach towels and chairs and new BBQ were great. I loved the road down by Anini to run on it was not crowded and so beautiful. It would have been nice to have a flashlight and candles available when the power went out on Christmas Eve/day and we managed by cooking our breakfast on the BBQ!! In general, the house was a little dark and some more lighting in the bedrooms would be nice. There are a lot of roosters around that you hear in the middle of the night and early morning so take ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

Overall this experience was wonderful. The house has enough stock of pots and pans, nice clean rooms and bathrooms. The house is very comfortable. The lighting is really odd. That’s the only thing I would change. It was either way too bright or way too dark. But than again...I’m 40. So maybe it was my eyes and not the lighting!

Beautiful spot, close to Anini Beach
We came as a family for Christmas, five in total....a very nice home, everything you need is there, plus extras in beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, boogie boards and snorkel equipment. It's a good location for north shore discovery and beaches. The home shows pride of ownership. We also enjoyed the screened in deck, great for game time. The roosters are noisy...but for us earplugs solved the problem. Thanks for having us.

Our Kauai vacation
We three sisters had such a great time staying at the Anini Villa house. It was very clean and well appointed. The plants and flowers were just beautiful and the birds with their songs provided music to our ears every morning and throughout the day. We did phone Anna-lise for a restaurant recommendation and her suggestion was spot on. We had a lovely dinner. About the only negative things were the damn chickens, we DID NOT appreciate their wake up call during the wee hours right after midnight. We even bought ear plugs while there and found that they didn't work! But we especially loved the house kitty and frog that lived on the front porch. We also loved Anna-lise!

Beautiful home, great place to stay
Beautiful home, clean, well maintained, comfortable beds, great place to stay on Kauai. Close to Anni Beach (good for children and adults-sand beach little wave action). Might be too far if most of your activities are located around Lihue-Poipu areas, Con: No air conditioning, not so much of a problem in winter through spring as house has a whole house exhaust fan, but I think in summer might be too uncomfortable for those from less hot and humid climates. We would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed picking fruit in the yard and cooking meals in the well stocked kitchen. The beach at Aninni was close as was Hanalei. We had a little trouble with the BBQ but Anna-lise was quick to respond to any issues. We would definitely go back!

Great Base for Exploring the North Shore
House is very spacious with a large master with ensuite, open plan kitchen, dining, and living room. Kitchen was large and well stocked with everything you would need to cook. Nice that there were spices and staples leftover from previous guests. It was very clean when we arrived. It was great for our extended family. We enjoyed it so much more than the staying at a resort. The guide provided by Mercy for the island was fabulous. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Great Place!
We had a wonderful time, usually stay in Hanalei but it is becoming too crowded and noisy, Kalihiwai puts you close to town if you wish, but the Villa gives you an oasis to return to and relax on the lanai. Great help from Annalise, the manager, also. Highly recommend this house for anyone who wants to get away from the crowds. Only feedback would be to do a little work to improve the lighting in the kitchen.

Tropical setting near beaches
Lovely home, large kitchen, but sure wish these vrbo rentals would invest in one-two good knives and some better frying pans! With such great farmers markets, its a treat to BBQ and enjoy a good meal w/o always going out. Oh, and don't forget a set of "good" earplugs. The roosters are very noisy and sometimes get started by 1 am!

What a beautiful location and property. Easy to locate and access with given instructions. Missed the AC until we acclimated. The enclosed patio was a godsend when the house was hot. Beautiful kitchen with wood floors. Lots of beach toys, comfortable beds and bathrooms. Wonderful dishwasher/laundry set/stovetop range/oven. We cooked most of our breakfasts and dinners, for more family time. Knives need sharpening, but we made do. Neighbors with young kids were a bit noisy, but nothing obnoxious, they're just living their lives here (lucky them!). Wished there were was better indoor lighting like recessed lighting, but again, nothing we couldn't deal with. Such a nice location to relax. If you want to eat out more, you might want to be closer to Princeville/Hanalei or Kapaa, but we appreciated the distance from the crowds. Thanks for the hospitality!

Great home & close to a beautiful beach with no surf that is great for kids!
Great three-bedroom home with two baths. We stayed with our two small kids who loved the beach at Anini, which has no surf and lots of shade on the beach. The house is well stocked and even has some board/card games to play. A wonderful getaway!

Perfect landing spot for our island adventures
This place was in the perfect location for us, conveniently located a few steps from Anini Beach where we snorkeled and saw sea turtles (go at low tide!), and just a few short minutes from Hanalei Bay which has the best boogie boarding conditions! We had a total of 6 people in the villa- four adults, and two kids, and were very comfortable. The main living area is much larger than we expected based on the pictures, which was a nice surprise. The manager of the property was very responsive, and all issues were resolved on the same day (the coffee pot broke, and we had a new one by nightfall, etc.). We loved our stay and would definitely come back!

Cool jungle lodge
Everything you need is there, easy to find very relaxing atmosphere and comfortable close to Princeville and the north. Kilauea great little town with good restaurants five minutes away tried the bistro with farm to table salad is amazing! Be prepared for the inevitable Kawai roosters that sound the alarm at 4 AM. Wake up call ! Even had a friendly neighborhood cat that came in for a visit. Overall great little place thank you.

Simply beautiful!
The Blue Anini Villa was perfect for our family. The open concept of the living room, dining room and kitchen allowed everyone to interact with each other while doing their own thing (cooking, eating, watching TV). The enclosed patio with overhead ceiling fans came in handy when the weather was muggy and was the perfect place to end our evening. The home is equipped with everything we needed including those things that we didn't expect but was most appreciative for such as a playpen for my 18 month old granddaughter and a training potty in the bathroom. Everything is updated and the shower in the main bathroom is HUGE. We loved it and will definitely stay there again!

Very nice home in great Kauai north shore location!
The home is spacious and well equipped for your Hawaii vacation! Annalise was a gracious host to show me around at check in. Everything you need is there even snorkel equipment and boogie boards! The location is incredible! 5 minutes every direction to something you need. The beach in one direction grocery store in another and the quaint village of Kilaeau in the other! The screened porch or lanai is large and much enjoyed in the evenings after busy days exploring. Thank you so much Blue Anini!

This house is gorgeous! It was a great place to stay in a very peaceful neighborhood.
This house sits on a quiet driveway in a very peaceful neighborhood. The house was very spacious and worked out great for two couples to share. Adding a third couple would have been no problem. The house was very clean and stocked with about anything we needed. We highly recommend staying at the Blue Anini Villa!
