This walk-up condo in the first building of Kihei Kai Nani is across the street from lovely Kamaole II, in a string of the some of the most beautiful beaches on Maui. If you use the map feature, you can see this is in building one - 200 feet from the beach! Yay! Choose when you want to go in swimming by walking out on the lanai. Generous pool, and parking. You can see the ocean from the lanai, and it is in the heart of all that is fun about Kihei, Maui's dry part of the island. Walking distance to one of the best pubs, lots of shops, an organic grocery store which even has hot take-out for beach picnics (Hawaiian Moons) this is the sunset watching Center of Kihei. Join everyone every evening down on the long low bench facing the sea for the main event! In February, you will be seeing the sun set from your lanai, and whale action as well. remodeled in 2017, this condo has clean lines and an open airy feel. The 65 inch wall-mount TV lets you enjoy home entertainment if you are so inclined. This unit is best for 2 people with a queen bed is in the bedroom. Extra guests can be accommodated on the two sofa beds in the living room/kitchen area, which are locked - so if you do have more than two people sharing a bed, you must be clear in your booking about this. Both sofa sleepers may be open at the same time. Be aware, there is only the one bathroom. \*NOTE: bedding MUST be removed prior to closing the sofa beds(sheets may remain). Failure to do this will damage the springs, at your cost. NOTE: this is not a private sleeping space. There is an air conditioning unit in the livingroom/kitchen area. A ceiling fan is in both the livingroom/kitchen area and the bedroom. There is an air conditioner in the bedroom as well. Powerful water pressure, the kitchen is appointed with a single spout spray hose and a deep single sink. The blender/grinder is perfect for making your own children or adult beverages, smoothies or baby food. The Ninja coffee maker takes advantage of the great coffees you can buy on island. GE microwave. Plenty of plastic drink ware gets your adult beverage to the poolside. BEACH EQUIPMENT Beach towels and mats that go under them between you and the sand are provided, as well as our 4 back-pack chairs and umbrella, snorkles and fins. There is a sand rinsing station at the property entrance: please use it every time you return from the beach. Condo is well equipped with everything you need, I appreciate the higher quality dishes, etc. Bed was comfy perhaps pillows could use an upgrade tho maybe that is just personal preference. The only thing I did not like was the fixed privacy curtain along the lanai as it obstructed the views of the ocean when sitting down. I have stayed at this complex many times in various units the location is perfect close to lots of restaurants etc and right across from a fabulous beach. The daily view of the sunset while sitting comfortably on the lanai was amazing. The communication with the owner was excellent. The owners provided great information to us before we arrived. The condo is in a very wonderful neighborhood for restaurants, coffee and a famous cinnamon roll business. The beach is only steps away from the condo. This condo makes you never want to leave. Not to mention the friendly breeze blowing thur the condo when you open the windows. ##### eugene m. There were clear instructions about everything related to the condo, convenient keyless entry and the property is well-maintained and fairly quiet. If I had to find something to improve upon, I would suggest that the towels be more thoroughly cleaned (several smelled of mildew) and maintained (perhaps circulate out the ones with lots of bleach marks). The kitchen is fully supplied, though we did no cooking. There are a lot of moderately-priced restaurants within walking distance. You can walk to Hawaiian Moons for wonderful organic pineapples, papayas, and mangos. This place was literally the best option and I couldn’t be happier that we went with it. This place was so clean and everything was labeled with instructions which made everything so easy. It had everything in it and more :) The fact that there was a a laundry machine just topped it off! Walking to the water took like 30 seconds. And the sunsets were so beautiful every night! We have stayed at 3 other units at the Kihei Kai Nani, this one is the best. This unit is near perfect. First of all, it’s a great location in building 1, closest to the beach. It’s a 2-minute walk to the beach. It I also close walking distance from very good restaurants, shopping and a convenance store. It has great view from the lanai of the ocean and sunsets. The unit is full of everything you will need including the beach stuff, all near new in great condition. The kitchen also has everything you would need. It has great air conditioning in the living room and bedroom. It is very handy to have a washer and dryer when you are going to the beach every day. All in all, it is a great unit, we highly recommend it, and we are planning on staying here again. Mike and Susan ##### Mike R. The recently remodeled kitchen has all needed pots, pans, plates, glasses, and utensils. This property is less than a minute to the beach via the handy crosswalk!! The TV is huge and includes HBO. Roxanne replied quickly to our only message. The WiFi password is correct in the physical manual at the condo (not in the email). As for the roosters, as Roxanne commented, if you have the windows closed and the blinds shut, they can barely be heard, and we did not run AC to create background noise. I am a light sleeper, and they didn't bother me with the windows shut. The ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room are whisper quiet at the low speed. When it was 80° outside, the fan at mid-speed was enough to make it feel cool. After sunset, you can open up the windows to cool it off. Since it is a corner unit, there are windows on 3 sides and we left windows open in the living room at night to cool it off for the morning (safe since it's a 2nd floor unit). We didn't hear our neighbors if the windows were closed. AC in 2 rooms. This condo has many very good (not fancy) restaurants within an 8 minute walk. We recommend: \* Coconut's Cafe: best fish tacos I have had \* Penny's Pizza: wood-fired pizza with great crust, they do half-and-half pizzas...but a little too much cheese for us \* Maui Bread: chocolate croissant + ham egg cheese sandwich. Yum! Ran out of time for "That's a Wrap". 3 general stores walking distance. ##### Bruce M.
