As this was our first trip to Maui, I was extremely happy with the location and would not want to stay anywhere else on the island - Kihei (and this condo) is central with a local town-non resort feel with lots of grocery, coffee shops, casual restaurants, snorkel rentals, etc. all within walking distance. The condo has everything we needed for our stay: plenty of towels, cooler, sun chairs, boogie boards, sun umbrella, and pay laundry on the premises. Not to mention the availability of SUP, kayaks, and bikes available to condo residents (we sadly ran out of time to use them - although you can easily do right off the beach from the condo). We saw the most turtles on the sand walking along the beach from the condo than anywhere else we visited on the island. Helpful, timely, comprehensive and responsive property managers and check-in, property, and check-out details. Highly recommend and would hands down stay here again. ##### Jean M. No spray in unit would kill and no mgr around. Up til then we found the unit to be well equipped with nearly everything we needed. Very central location for day trips to whatever we were doing that day. And the complex is well looked after. Just a few steps to the pool from our lanai and just a few more to the beach. As for the accomodation: very dark smell of humidity in the beds discomfort for the sofa bed we had to wash the floor when arriving because it was very dirty. In summary I would not go back. It was very clean and well maintained and I loved the open kitchen and living room. Had breakfast on the porch every day and took advantage of the beautiful courtyard with the flowers, palm trees and fountain. As a first time traveller to Maui, I wasn't sure of the best place to base myself, but after reading some reviews about Kihei, I decided upon this location and I'm so glad I did. Kihei is so centrally located. Facing west, it offers beautiful sunsets. It's close to many beaches and restaurants, and a quick drive from the airport (15-20 min). It's easy to get from here to Haleakala Crater (2 hr drive) and to the legendary Road to Hana. I also drive up to the west coast - Lahaina and more. The freeways make it so easy. Now for the apartment! What can I say. Just perfect. Super convenient. Huge size and amazingly appointed kitchen. The apartment is on the ground floor and has a level entry, which is great for those who may be less mobile. The apartment location is just steps from the carpark and about 100 metres to a secluded beach. Amazing. It was very quiet and the bed was very comfirtable if a little firm. The shower was a torrent and extremely relaxing. The coffee machine came in handy and the chocolates were a lovely touch. A 3 minute walk gets you to the local supermarket and nearby outdoor mall where you will find a plethora of dining and shopping options (try the Acai bowl at Wow Wow Lemonade). The local atmosphere is very relaxed (why wouldn't you be!) and everyone was very friendly. All in all this was a wonderful place to stay and I'm so glad I found it. See you again! ##### Maj L. Séjour de 10 nuits en décembre 2018 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Tom and Norinne L. 3 nov. 2018 #### A Hidden Jewel We were very impressed with the Waiohuli Beach Hale property, and so happy that we followed a friend's recommendation to stay here for our 12 day vacation. D115, owned and managed by Aloha Aku right next door, was comfortable, clean, modern and well equipped. When I had a question about the technology, they were right there, and even ran off our boarding passes for us. Being on the ground floor, we enjoyed being able to step out from our patio to the grounds to enjoy a stroll down the beautiful beach or a swim in the crystal clear pool. Located just off South Kihei on Lipoa, and so not obvious along the main street of Kihei, it was still so close to Times Supermarket and other shopping areas within a block or two, and also a half hour easy walk or 5 minute drive down to the main touristy area. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a little quieter, well cared for and smaller setting. We definitely hope to return to D115 at some time in the future. ##### Tom and Norinne L.
