And walking just a little ways down to Kam 3 for snorkeling (better snorkeling than Kam 2) was incredible. Saw so many sea turtles and so many amazing fish there. We also drove to Keawakapu Beach - plenty of parking. Saw great fish there too and quite a few eels, including snowflake and white mouth moray eels. Just a short walk down the street for shops and natural-flavor shave ice (pineapple + cocount so good!). This place is awesome! ##### James P. Our condo was right across the street to the Kamaole Beach II, down the street from several restaurants. Even though it was right above S. Kihei Road, noise was never a problem inside the unit and it gave us a wonderful view of the surf and beach. The unit was very well appointed, clean and we found no items that were not working or needed attention. One day our electronic front door stopped working but with one phone call to the owner a maintenance man was dispatched and replaced the batteries. We were also informed how to use the second entrance so that we were locked out of the unit. Getting back in took about 5 minutes and batteries replaced within the hour. Communications with Mary were easy. This location was great and very drivable to our other Maui excursions. The condo had plenty of room for our family of 2 adults and 4 kids. The beach views from the lanais were incredible. Everything we needed in the condo was provided for and all we had to buy were toiletries and food. We were very thankful that there was so much beach gear available with the condo, and we utilized these on a daily basis. Restaurants and the ABC store were a quick 5-10 min walk away. I exercised daily with morning walks around sunrise and our family was out and about until around 9-10 pm and we always felt safe here. One thing to note is that you do have about 4 stairs to go up and down to get to the condo and there are no elevators. So this can be harder if you have mobility issues. Otherwise, if that's not an issue, we would definitely recommend this condo and will plan on staying here again when we return to Maui. ##### Maylor V. Mary was very easy to get in touch with for questions and was very helpful for check-in and out. We stayed for 10 days with myself, husband, mother in law, and 2 daughters and loved the location. We would definitely stay there again! We enjoyed having coffee on the lanai while watching the sunrise (note the views from the lanai are partially obstructed by palm trees so only 2 people can sit and view). It is a short walk around the property, across the street, and to the beach- less than 5 minutes. There was excellent snorkeling at Kama’ole Beach II on the left side of the beach. We saw many sea turtles everyday. We brought our own snorkels but they also had some in the condo. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals while we were there, including plasticware to store leftovers. They left a lovely welcome gift, plus laundry detergent, paper goods and cleaning supplies (if you need them). There was also a vacuum handy to clean up the sand you will likely track in..lol! There were many other items to make our stay more enjoyable: Beach chairs, ice chest, boogie boards, (the umbrella was broken BUT you can rent one from the office for only $31 for the week), and books and puzzles for night time. The beds were comfortable, our daughters slept on the pull out sofa and had no complaints. The shower/tub combo was slow to drain, but that can happen in older places. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again! ##### Jenny R. Condo adjoins highly travelled street but you can hear no noise in the condo. Kitchen contained all expected utensils and appliances plus more. The unit itself is an older apartment on the second floor of a two story building (no elevator). The main areas have all been thoughtfully updated and we were quite comfortable. The bathrooms have not been updated and our friend , who has mobility challenges, had trouble with the toilet, as it is low and there are no grab bars. The ocean view was fantastic, the beach across the street was awesome and the place itself was great, it had everything we needed from a wine opener to beach towels and washer/dryer. Across the street from Kamaole Beach, we could hear the waves if the windows were open. All the essential beach equipment (towels, chairs, umbrellas, etc) was provided. Nicely stocked with kitchenware made meals in easy, but plenty of restaurants an easy walk down the street. Access to a pool/hot tub, and we slept pretty well on the beds, which is rare for my wife.
