Relax to the Sound of Waves This beautiful ground floor unit was completely remodeled in 2015 and every surface is brand new. If you prefer one of the shortest and most level walks to the beach in Ekahi Village, then condo 21-C is for you! (The complex is situated on a hillside.) Enjoy relaxing meals on the main lanai with the sounds of the ocean and our peek-a-boo ocean view framed by palm trees. If you wish, open the glass sliders, turn on the ceiling fans, and take in the ocean breezes. (Of course you have the option of using the 2 a/c systems.) We offer a blu-ray dvd player, a 55" flat screen tv in the living room, and a 58 " flat screen tv in the bedroom which can be enjoyed from the CA king size bed which now has a memory foam mattress topper. There is a private lanai off the bedroom which opens to a lush garden. The fully stocked kitchen has custom cabinetry, dark granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen amenities also include a blender, rice cooker, a regular and a keurig coffee maker (pods). The shower has a custom etched glass panel, and sports both a stationary shower head and a handheld unit for easier bathing of kids. The adjoining vanity and dressing area has custom cabinetry, a dark granite counter top, a large closet, and one of the four ceiling fans in the condo. There is a DVD player, and pickle-ball paddles and balls. Out in the living room, the queen size sofa bed boasts an 8" pillow-top mattress. There is a full size washer and dryer in the unit for added convenience. We provide beach towels, chairs, an umbrella, and a wagon, as well as a small cooler. The complimentary starter supply of dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, and trash bags allows you to enjoy even your very first day in paradise. For the comfort of all of our guests (and our own children) there is no smoking, and no pets are allowed in the condo. Please note: There is currently Maui legislation that is scheduled to go into effect January 1, 2026 that would prohibit us from renting our condo for less than 6 months terms. We can't know if it will actually take effect then, or be delayed, or altogether rescinded. If it does take effect January 1, 2026, we would offer our guests full refunds. (If there is a guest whose stay begins in 2025 but ends in 2026, they would also have the option to keep their 2025 dates and just have their 2026 dates refunded). For those who have not stayed at Ekhai before, the complex is our favourite over the last 12 years of visiting the island as it is spread over acres of green space and has direct ocean access that doesn’t feel like a hotel yet very comfortable. Terri and Dave’s updated unit is tucked away from the main ocean views but is so close to the pavilion and beach you can hear the waves at night and from the lanai. The kitchen was fully stocked, including Tupperware-type reusable containers with lids that fit (IKYK…) for leftovers or taking food to the beach, the master bed very comfortable with high quality linens and shower with plenty of hot water to wash off the salt from the ocean. Beach chairs and various toys available too. Shannon their property manager replaced pillows quickly when I mentioned the ones in the bedroom had run their course and they may want to think of replacing for the next guests. A service. This unit was perfect for two adults and could have accommodated a family of 3 or 4 if comfortable sleeping on pull-out or trundle mattress, but with one bathroom would be tight. Beach toys, beach chairs/towels, pickleball equipment and boogie boards - all made for an enjoyable time during our stay in Maui. We love the shuffleboard courts and cornhole area that allow our family to play together and enjoy the beautiful Maui sunsets. Over Thanksgiving, big pool got crowded and noisy but the following Mon-Thursday were quiet and lovely. Could have used a few more kitchen accessories-tin foil, more tupperware with the correct lids, tea towels, microwaveable dishes-and maybe instructions on the TV remotes! but otherwise it was great. It had everything we needed and was updated and beautiful on the inside. The condo is a very easy and quick walk to the oceanfront pool complex (an amazing place to relax) but you don’t see or hear the pool area from the condo, which is perfect. The space was larger and brighter than the photos! The pool and amenities were the best we had seen in Maui! The poolside communal kitchen made a lunches at the pool so easy. Also, the short walk from the pool to the beach was perfect. Terri and Dave went out of their way to make us knowledgeable about parties and events taking place during our stay, and even made accommodations for our infant and toddler.
