Amazing Ocean Views! Remodeled! Welcome to Sugar Beach Resort Penthouse 34, one of the best ocean view condos in Maui. The top floor lanai is very private and looks out on endless ocean and 5 miles of white sandy beach - perfect for peaceful morning or evening walks. Watch the whales during whale season (December to April) without leaving the residence, and experience some of the best sunsets in Maui from the balcony. The ocean view is spectacular!! PH34 is rented directly from the owners. The kitchen and bath were completely remodeled with all new stainless steel appliances and beautiful quartz counters in the kitchen for a very clean and modern feel. It has very comfortable furniture including a king size bed. The sleeper sofa has a queen size upgraded mattress for your comfort. The condo also has a smart flat screen TV. We provide free wifi as well for your convenience. Our condo also has central air conditioning which is rare for maui condos - keep the inside at whatever temperature makes you the most comfortable. The condo is tastefully equipped with everything you will need including beach umbrellas, beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, etc. The complex has elevators for easy access from the condo to the beach and beautiful oceanfront pool, spa, and BBQs. The grounds are manicured and the grass leads you right to be beach, only steps away. There is an activities booking company in the lobby for you to take advantage of Maui's sights and excursions, or just relax all week and do nothing. Sugar Beach is conveniently located on the west side of Maui. It is approximately 15 minutes from the airport (and Costco!), 15-20 minutes north of Wailea and 30 minutes south of Kaanapali and Lahaina. Free parking including covered parking and no resort fees or hidden fees. Finally, please note Sugar Beach Resort closes their pool the second week of September each year for annual maintenance. I reserved this unit in May but had to cancel due to unexpected death of my brother in law. It was just a few days before our arrival. So I had to cancel and lost the fee. Kevin rented the unit for a few nights and sent me the . He didn’t have to do that. He’s one in a million. I highly recommend renting from him. The condo is in a perfect spot. Biggest let down was the unit felt “cheap,” more like a dorm than a penthouse condo. Scuff marks were haphazardly painted over so very noticeable, and decor was minimalistic to a fault. With just a little care to details this property would be amazing. Air conditioning was “Hawaiian style”. (We used the fan in the bedroom.) it was so nice for you to provide 4 beach towels, two beach chairs,plenty of shampoo and conditioner, laundry soap, dishwashing soap, fresh towels, toilet paper, paper towels. This is not always the case! Pool was really nice. Cool water. Comfy lounge chairs. Checking in was a small hassle. We got there at 6pm. We went back the next day at 2:00\. There was a sign on the door stating that she “would be back soon.” So we tried a third time and we would have had to return a fourth time since we did not know our license plate number. The beach is walkable! Most of the condos I have rented, that’s not so. The ocean is easy to swim in. This is a non tourist but delightful spot. If you have a car, it’s perfect. Location for exploring the island is perfect. Great sunsets but due to west-facing, the porch gets quite warm in the afternoons. We went to the pool and sat under the nice roofed area near the water that provided great shade and breezes!Communication with Kevin, the host, was very good. He provided for a late checkout to accommodate our late flight to the next island. The bedroom was large enough to provide for two extra large suitcases and the kitchen allowed for any type of cooking needed. ##### Kevin S.
