Mana Kai is one of Kihei's most exclusive resorts, located right on Keawakapu Beach! This beautifully upgraded 2bd/2bath is perfect for families or couples traveling together. Enjoy gazing off at the magical Maui waters, catch a whale or two breaching during season, or enjoy a breathtaking sunset with direct ocean views from your private lanai. Dine alfresco with seating for four. The living area is perfectly appointed with a large 55" flatscreen SMART TV. Open directly to the kitchen fully equipped with everything any home chef would need. The Primary suite is located right off the living area with a King bed and luxurious linens. The ensuite bath offers a walk-in shower and a large vanity. The Guest suite is very spacious with a king bed, luxurious linens, a 40" flat screen SMART TV, and an ensuite bath. Split AC throughout keeps this beautiful condo cool and comfortable all year long. Mana Kai 412 offers the perfect Hawaiian retreat! The resort atmosphere includes an oceanfront pool, two propane BBQs, onsite laundry facilities on each floor, free parking, a fitness center, activities center, general store, and a business center. Please be aware that all Mana Kai units feature a primary bedroom that is an ''open concept'' and is not closed off from the living room area. Mana Kai will continue construction and maintenance effective immediately, including essential concrete repairs near the lobby and restrooms, as well as preparations for the new Beach House at Mana Kai restaurant by Handcrafted Restaurants (Peter Merriman, known for Monkeypod Kitchen, Merriman’s, and others). While we do not have a full schedule or end date yet, work will take place on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no activity on weekends or holidays. Guests may experience some noise and temporary restroom closures during this time. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you. Steps to a wonderful snorkelling / swimming beach (go in the morning, the water is much calmer!), got surprised by a sea turtle out there, little shop downstairs with basics (ice, drinks, snacks). And the condo itself!! The bed was SO COMFORTABLE. The tv swivels so you can easily laze about in bed or on the sofa. Not that you’ll be watching much tv. We ate breakfast on the balcony, then out all day and back to the balcony for happy hour before dinner. We loved our stay here. The host has also stocked the kitchen and unit with everything you’ll need. And NICE wine glasses and big coffee mugs, not the usual tiny tourist sized ones. I was disappointed in the communication from the property manager. They did not get me my code or parking space. When I reached out there was no way to contact except a VM and an email. I did both and never received a response even after I had security help me at 9pm. They did get a response from the property manager and I was in my room by 10pm. The condo itself was great. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Mana Kai was an excellent place to stay in Maui with our family of four (2 kids, 9 yo and 6 yo) plus grandma. Unit #412 was super nice. Both the building and the unit present as in the pictures. No big surprises. There are some major renovations going on to the building - read the notices - which are focused on the restaurant, outdoor tiki bar and fitness centers as of now. These did not impact our stay in any significant way. The unit had everything we needed for the week, was clean, and had amazing views. The location on the island was perfect - close to what we needed quickly, but not in the hustle and bustle of Kihei. Short drives to Haelakala and other destinations around Maui. Beautiful beach and grassy area at the property. We even swam with sea turtles right by the property! We happened to be there during the tsunami warning - luckily we had friends in Maui that took us in during the evacuation - but we never heard from the property manager about what to do. The tsunami ended up not being a threat after all and we were able to return to the unit, but it would have been nice to hear from Coldwell Banker about the precautions in the area. ##### Kara C. The accommodations were wonderful with an upscale kitchen and living space, plus a fabulous view of the ocean. We enjoyed the semi-private beach, lounging lawn, and warm water swimming pool. It was a bonus to have two restaurants and a bar on the premises as well as a convenience store. It was also an easy walk to the Wailea Beach shops and hotels.
