Lovely Kamaole Sands Condo
Kamaole Sands was a great place to stay. Almost every day we played pickleball (using the provided sponge balls) and worked out in the gym which is well equipped for a resort gym. The pool was great to hang out at if the beach was too windy and there were plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The beach was amazing and great for snorkelling, no need to go to Molikini as all the fish & turtles are right there. The condo was very comfortable and it’s location was very central within the resort overlooking the pool & fitness centre. It was definitely spacious enough for two and the bedroom was very comfortable and dark. It was well stocked with dish and cookware and included some spices, soaps & laundry pods. We made use of the provided beach chairs, umbrellas, beach mats and were hoping to use the boogie boards but the waves wouldn’t cooperate. My only suggestions to the owners would be the addition of a foldable clothes drying rack & a brita filter (we brought our own) to prevent the purchase of bottled water. If you want a great condo for 2 this is it.

Great stay!
Everything was as described, good location in Kihei, right across from the beach. Beautiful garden, in suite laundry and dishwasher is always nice bonus. Good clean pool, kiddie pool and hot tub.

Wonderful vacation property
We enjoyed our stay very much. Location was great, lots of things to do at the property- swimming pool, 2 jacuzzi, 3 min walk to the beach. Chairs, snorkels, and boogie boards were provided with the rental. Everything you need in the kitchen. Thank you!

Very well run and managed property. Directly across the street from the beach and walkable food and shopping. Our first time staying here and would certainly do it again. Note: check the patio utility closet first before renting beach gear. Ours had beach chairs, umbrellas and body boards available. I'm sure it varies from unit to unit.

Decent Property. However, Feedback is Needed
Hello all: I want to preface this review by saying my partner and I frequent Maui annually. This was our first time staying at a Kamaole Sands property. (We usually stay at Maui Vista or Maui Coast Hotel - but we wanted to try something different.) Pros: - Right across from Kamaole III Beach. However, Paia Fish Market, Kihei Caffe, Tiki Lounge are all about 1.5 miles walking distance down the street - Clean - Amenities at Property/Look of Property - Unit AC - Gated Community - Two Bathrooms (in general, more feedback about bathrooms under cons) Cons: - Condo is not sound proof as we heard the neighbors having sex all night. That’ll make you blush. Lol. - Wi-Fi is spotty! You lose connectivity once you get into bedroom. Spectrum is the provider, I believe. As a Healthcare IT professional, I did the best to troubleshoot. There needs to be a more robust router or repeater put into place. Or simply mount router in hallway? We were unable to work or even take calls properly in the condo. Only one bar of service as AT&T user. Frustrating! - The bed is hard and uncomfortable. Truly felt like owners invested in the least expensive mattress and TV for the bedroom. - The shower renovation is not ideal. There’s a glass barrier similar to one you may see in newer hotel builds. However, the water shoots out onto bathroom floor. The owners retrofitted a plastic shower curtain and I think that’s gross. Kept touching me in shower. Glass barrier was NOT a good choice for this bathroom. Hence the reason I’m sure the owners placed the plastic curtain in too. Weird. In conclusion, being right across from Kamaole III was great, however, we do not plan to choose this specific condo again - perhaps not even this property at all. Thank you.

Clean place, close to everything
This place was directly across from Kamaole Beach III and down the street from lots of restaurants and shopping. The rental was nice and clean and had a great theme. We would stay here again in a heartbeat

This place was convenient and for the price it was worth it. We did have to clean some parts of the place because there were stains (e.g. above the main bathroom door). The AC does take a minute to cool down so don’t assume that it will be fast. On the other hand, everything was easy access although, we did get confused on where the front desk was but found a directory by the elevators. Overall, this was a nice place and wasn’t too pricey which worked well as we were there to sleep as we were pretty much out all the day for the time we were there.

The property location is across from a few of our favorite beaches, the grounds were beautiful, and our patio had a nice view of the grounds and ocean. The condo had beach chairs, snorkel equipment, and boogie boards which made it extra nice!

My family loved this unit! It was very clean, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook, great view of the pool and ocean, there were beach umbrellas and boogie boards, which were so nice to have! My only suggestion would be to have more pool/beach towels. We would definitely stay there again and would certainly recommend this unit to others!

Pros: Great location, convenient to restaurants and shops. Good views from lanai but could use more chairs, only had 2. Cons: no extra towels, only 2 sets in each bathroom and some were stained. Linens were dingy and extra pillows definately need to be replaced.

Loved Kamaole Sands
We had an amazing stay at Kamaole Sands. The property was beautifully landscaped and well maintained, and we enjoyed pool + garden + ocean views from the lanai of 3-307. The development is a very short distance from a terrific snorkeling & swimming beach, and is also walking distance from an assortment of dining & shopping options. I think management would do well to convert one or two of the four tennis courts to pickleball.

Great Stay
My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon. The location was excellent as you could walk to nearby coffee shops or restaurants. We did find quite a few homeless people on the corner by the resort as the public beach is across the street but we walked by them everyday and never was approached or had an issue! The pool was clean and had 2 different hot tubs which was great, however pretty busy after dinner time so you need to go early to ensure a spot. The room itself was nice with two bathrooms, a kitchen and the bedroom however we did find it a bit outdated compared to other places we have stayed at. The kitchen was stocked with all the appliances we needed which was great, the only thing we found was the knives were very cheap or old. I couldn’t even cut into a raw potato with the sharp kitchen knives as the blade would bend. The deck had nice views of the resort and you can see the little bit of the ocean. It was very peaceful having our coffee there each morning. The condo also had beach chairs and an umbrella which was amazing!! We loved bringing them to the beach and it saved us $ on not having to rent them for our beach days. Overall we had a great time here and the price was great compared to other rooms at the same resort.

Great spot for casual vacation
My friends and I were looking for a nice, relaxing vacation after a stressful year, and Kamaole Sands worked out perfectly! The complex has nice amenities and provides everything you need regardless of what type of activities you're looking for, and is in a great location across from the beach. We were able to enjoy some exploration/adventure as well as have relaxing time to ourselves in the apartment

Bed was not pillow top. TV in bedroom was 21" not 29". Very small ocean view if you stood on the balcony in the corner. Three burners on the stove did not work. But were repaired quickly.

One of the best units at Kamaole Sands comlpex!
Stayed at many during prior trips so can compare :) Lanai has a view of the gardens and the pool, partial ocean view, very peaceful and relaxing. Has some beach items in the closet. Smaller shower is hard to use for kids : shower head can not spray water down enough. Master shower is great! Clean, quiet, no need to run AC at all (July!). Perfect stay. Mahalo!

Kamaole Sands is a beautiful complex in a great location. The property managers of this condo were very communicative and easy to work with regarding adjusting travel dates due to COVID travel restrictions. The condo was very clean and check in process simple.

Hawaii First Timers Easy Breezy
We had an excellent stay at Kamaole Sands! The rooms and facilities were well maintained and the staff were friendly at check in. There were many weekly meetings and mixers to attend if you desired. We thoroughly enjoyed the large pool and adults only hot tub while sending the kids to the family hot tub. Showers conveniently located outside the pool for a quick rinse. Close proximity to the beach. Close to other nearby beaches. Quick drive to shopping and eating. The living room AC did not seem to work for the entire week, but the bedroom AC worked perfectly. Nice extras like chairs, snorkels, utensils, etc. Gate and pool codes easy to remember. No keys! We loved our stay and will be back.
