This upgrade will provide a more comfortable and cool environment for our guests! This sixth (top) floor oceanfront condo at the Kihei Surfside Resort is located on the sought after ocean side of the elevator, and has a spectacular ocean view from the kitchen, living room, dining area and lanai. It is one of the larger, 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath units (680 sq ft). The view of the ocean and its abundant wildlife is absolutely breathtaking. The unit has been tastefully remodeled to a very high standard. The kitchen and vanities are done in rich cherry colored cabinetry and gorgeous light brown granite countertops, which is consistent throughout the unit. The entire unit has porcelain flooring. All lighting in all rooms is controlled by dimmer switches. The very attractive peninsula style kitchen is fully equipped with clean white appliances, including a refrigerator with ice maker, full size range, dishwasher, multi-function microwave oven, garbage disposer and a variety of small appliances including coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster oven and blender. There is also a large selection of higher end pots and pans, baking pans, knife set, spice rack and ample matching dishes, glasses and cutlery. The living room has a queen size pullout sofa-bed and a 48" flat screen LCD color TV and DVD player, and a multi speed ceiling fan. The unit has free, wireless high speed internet and free long distance calling to the United States and Canada. It is also equipped with a state of the art Oracode door lock, whereby each guest is issued a unique code which controls the door only during their stay. No keys! The oceanfront dining area has a round rattan glass top table with 4 matching tropical chairs. The large, private lanai has a square bistro table with two bar height chairs - a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or a romantic oceanfront dinner! The bedroom has a high quality pillow top King sized bed, high quality bedding, flat screen TV, multi speed ceiling fan, Hawaiian style rattan furniture, closet, digital security safe and telephone. The master bathroom has a full size, walk in shower, a beautiful cherry wood vanity with granite countertop. The matching half bath has been finished to the same high standard. Both bathrooms have Kohler toilets. This condo is fully equipped with fresh linens and towels, hair dryer, iron/ironing board. All units have beach towels and a cooler. Umbrellas and snorkel gear are NOT supplied, but are often left behind in the units by other guests – no guarantees. The Kihei Surfside office loans out beach chairs free of charge during regular business hours - Monday to Saturday. Office is closed Sundays and Holidays. Coin laundry facilities are available on site. This unit is an excellent choice for guests who are looking for a beautifully remodeled unit in a spectacular location in the building with a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean and the West Maui mountains. For units that accommodate more than 2 guests (4 guests maximum), additional fees apply for additional guests at the rate of $15 per night for youths (17 and under) and $25 per night for adults (18 and over). The Kihei Surfside Resort is located at 2936 S. Kihei Road, South Kihei at the entrance of beautiful Wailea. This is the desert part of Maui, where the sun shines more than any other part of the island. The Kihei Surfside Resort consists of an absolute oceanfront concrete building of 6 floors and 84 deluxe units with an elevator. The building underwent an extensive makeover during the summer of 2015, it was closed for six months. Each unit received new windows, doors and railings, and the building itself had a complete concrete restoration and paint. There is free parking on site. The resort is a twenty-five minute drive from the Kahului Airport (OGG). Rental cars are available at the airport or in Kihei town. There are also taxis available at the airport (about $50), a shuttle bus and public transportation. Virtually all of the properties and resorts in Kihei are either located right on busy S. Kihei Rd., or if they are set back from the road - are across from the street from the ocean. One unique feature of the Kihei Surfside is that it is located at the quiet end of S. Kihei Road, AND is set back 300 feet from S. Kihei Road AND is located right on the ocean! Because it is hard to see from the road, many first time Surfside guests say that even though they have visited Kihei many times, they had never seen the resort! Another unique feature of the property is that we have a 2 acre, immaculately kept oceanfront lawn area with dozens of loungers, with a heated swimming pool and deluxe barbecue facilities. In season, there are daily whale sightings from both the grounds and lanais. In fact, the Pacific Whale Foundation conducts their annual whale count from our property. The building is located at the north end of Keawakapu Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui (voted Maui's most romantic), where you can walk for miles past some of the most expensive oceanfront homes on the island and the luxurious hotels of Wailea. Rosiesrentals.com has been in business since 2003\. We run our business from Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. We personally own several units in the Kihei Surfside building, and also own units in Lake Country, British Columbia. In Hawaii, we are not a property manager, but rather represent our own units as well as act as the online face and name for other friends and relatives within the Kihei Surfside Community who self-manage their properties and advertise them on the internet. The location is very convenient close to some good restaurants and beach at walilea The property are nice and clean At the beginning we had some extra charger by the owner of the property and create some concerns for me !! But lately they fix it! Just at reminder for everyone who book for more that two people of the Unit to expect extra charge on their bill! I know the unit is posted for 4 people but if there more of two they charge extra Other and that no complain at all And where happy to been there on are vacation ##### Adiel Gerson P. Management Company top notch on instructions and expectations. Unit was spotless, kitchen is very well equipped. Pool on property, beach access is adjacent to property. Lawn area on oceanside of property is putting green grass, great place to set up a lawn chair and take in the ocean views. If you want to grill, there are two on the site. Folks gather at sunset. Friendly people in other units. Sounds of the ocean continuously, and a constant ocean breeze. Kihei town just a short distance away. Foodland, about 2 miles away is better value, and selection, than Safeway or Wal-Mart...which is much farther away. Finally, a beach path, sometimes sand, sometimes trail or as it connects to Wailea is stone and pavers about 3 miles to Fairmont Hotel there. ##### Richard C. Will definitely come back again. This was the perfect place and I and my wife loved it so much. The view from the room is amazing and it’s easy to get in and out. Location is pretty great as well and everything is close by. We even stayed in a fancy resort in Lahaina after this but definitely preferred this over the resort.The only minor inconveniences were the occasional insects finding their way in somehow, and that the lock code stopped working before our checkout time. I was taking out the trash before our check-put and the code stopped working. Thankfully, my spose was in. Just something to keep in mind. ##### Vatsalya P. The facilities are amazing and view breathtaking! We visited the resorts for an event and I would choose this location over all of them. It is centrally located for walking into Kihei for food and also directly to the beach. We enjoyed the breathtaking sunset on the deck every evening! We had a great time staying in this unit! The view was stunning. We watched the whales daily from the lanai and enjoyed coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening there. I decided to work remotely in Maui for a week and it was the best decision ever (despite meetings at 5 am). Being able to soak in the sun from the Surfside lawn or next door at Keawakapu beach is a great experience. But the best thing of all, are the amazing sunsets from the lanai, the lawn or the beach. Kihei Surfside was a great location, right next to a beautiful beach and walk along Wailea’s fancy hotel strip. Was a beautiful quiet setting with the lush green lawn for sunset and happy hour that can’t be beat!! South Kihei seemed to be best place to stay in terms of access to restaurants and stores but close to best beaches. Condo was stocked well. We grabbed beach chairs at office, which also had lawn games and putters. Ocean breeze was great, just a bit hot sleeping since it was August. Aug 30, 2018 #### Absolutely stunning! This building is terrific! The view cannot be matched! We have been to Maui many times but never seen a place like this. The views are breathtaking. You are right on the water and the sound of the waves is sublime. The trade winds blow through the suite and it is delightful. My only suggestion is the addition of air conditioning. While the trade winds keep things mostly cool there are times when it would be nice to have the air conditioning. Our family of three had a tremendous experience at this condo/property. We loved the location in south Kihei which was away from the hustle and bustle, but yet still close enough to all the restaurants, shopping, and grocery stores. The condo was EXACTLY as described with all of the needed items for our visit. The atmosphere at the condo with all of the visitors and "regulars" was fun too...all so kind and welcoming. The view was beautiful and we loved having our meals overlooking the ocean and lava flows. The lawn we also found amazing. We had several meals on the lawn including supper at sundown where we able to experience the nightly blowing of the conch shell at sundown. We normally stay near Makena, but we will be returning to this property and hopefully this condo on our next return trip. ##### Scott W.
