Condo in River Run w/ Stunning Mountain Views from Private Balcony!

  • This 2-bedroom, 3-bathroom top floor condo sleeps 8 with a king bed, queen bed, bunk beds, and queen sleeper sofa. It features vaulted ceilings and private balcony with mountain views. Ideally located in River Run Village so you’re just steps away from shopping, restaurants, and local festivities. Plus, guests can walk to the high-speed gondola. The Springs offers shared amenities including a pool with slide, a wading pool, indoor play area, Tesla EV charger, and two hot tubs.

    The entryway has mounted hooks and a bench for your convenience while coming and going throughout the day. The living area has a flat screen TV mounted above a beautiful gas fireplace and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. Additional sheets and blankets are in a closet. The homeowner has provided a selection of board games for your enjoyment. Just off the living area is access to the private balcony that offers mountain views.

    The full-sized kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home. The dining area comfortably seats five people with three additional seats at the breakfast bar. The first of three full bathrooms is just off the living area and has a pedestal sink and shower/tub combination. All bathrooms are stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries.

    The primary bedroom has a king-sized bed and a flat screen TV. The en suite bathroom has double sinks, a shower/tub combination with jets and a door separates the toilet area for added privacy. The guest bedroom has a queen-sized bed, a bunk bed and its own en suite bathroom. The en suite bathroom has double sinks and a door separates the toilet area and shower/tub combination for added privacy.

Had everything we needed. It's a 5th floor unit, the elevator from the 4th floor to 5th was broken but it wasn't that big of a deal really. We LOVE staying at The Springs. It's our favorite condo in River Run. No complaints; the condo bet all of our expectations!

Nice condo close to the lift

The condo is nice and close to the lift. Sleeps 5 or 6 and the beds are nice. There is a new condominium being built between this condo and the lift. Pool and hot tubs are nice. Would definitely stay again!

It was in the middle of a major construction site (with multiple condos being built next door). And neither of these issues were communicated to us ahead of time. We met several owners of condos in the building we were staying at. They said that the only reason they were there was because the condos were virtually unrentable. We paid top dollar to stay there. And ww feel lied to and deceived by the management company's lack of transparency.

The unit worked well for us; the boys got the bunk beds, there was an extra bed in their room, and we got our own room with attached bathroom. We cooked at our place one night, and the kitchen was adequately stocked, though a few items were missing (like hot pads). Loved the proximity to coffee, restaurants, and entertainment for the kids...overall, great rental.

They provide several fans so we just put them at the windows and it was very comfortable.2. Construction is currently happening, so getting to the main area with food/retail is a slightly longer walk, but manageable.3. The bed in the main bedroom seemed pretty soft and maybe gel as we sank in through the night. Slept okay, but if you need firm, consider this.So, none of those are blockers to stay here. It was a wonderful condo and we had a great time at the Wine and Jazz festival. It is a very quick drive to Dillon or Silverthorn if you need something from Target. There are so many things to do in this area that you likely won't spend much time in the condo anyway. Also, the pool and hot tubs were really nice. Pool was slightly heated and worth bringing your suits!

Was a little tight with all of our gear in the room, but is doable. Only complaints are that the bed with the bunkbeds has the frame sticking out too far and takes your shins out if you're not careful! Also, there is construction of a new building right next door so it blocks the quick access from the pool area to the gondola so you have to walk around- not a huge deal, but somewhat inconvenient. Smooth process from beginning to end.

Clean, comfortable and convenient!

We had a wonderful stay in this property over our Christmas vacation. Pros: the location can’t be beat. It may be the very best building for proximity to the River Run gondola. It was also very convenient for walking to restaurants and the Dercum ice rink. The bedroom arrangement meant that my three children were quite comfortable sharing a room with each in their own bed. The living and dining areas had good seating for our family of 5. The pool area was a great way to relax after a day on the slopes. Cons: The building can be a little chilly, but space heaters were thoughtfully provided. The walls are thin, so it would be good to bring earplugs or a sound machine in case your neighbors are on a different schedule. The property was generally very well equipped but needs potholders and some more hangers. I definitely recommend this property.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed in at least a dozen properties around River Run including at least 4 in The Springs and, unfortunately, this was not one of our better experiences. The best part of this property and the whole reason I chose it was that our 3 kids could each have their own bed with no one on a pullout in the living room. That and the extra bathroom were great and redeemed this condo. But the living area is pretty tight otherwise and all of the furniture is very worn. Our main issues were the kitchen, where the dishwasher is gross and barely worked and faucet was half broken and very basic. I found several dirty dishes in the cupboards but figured out after we ran the dishwasher that they had been washed but just don't actually get clean. The dishes and pots/pans were not in great shape generally and more like garage sale finds than we're used to in ski town rentals. It can't help that the water pressure is terrible, maybe because of being on the 5th floor, so faucets and especially showers were just a trickle and a real letdown after skiing. Finally, while I generally like The Springs, the elevator to the 5th floor was broken for 3 days of our stay so we had to climb a lot of stairs and the construction next door was more disruptive than I anticipated. The path around it was not well lit at night and made for a stressful trip during the day with frequent construction trucks and ski-laden kids side by side on the icy roads. We'll look for another property next time.

The unit need more proactive maintenance

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My experience was really good except for one thing. The unit had obvious maintenance issues. The silverware drawer was jammed from a previous guest. One of the bathtub drains was clogged so you're standing in dirty water while you're taking a shower. These are the kinds of things that can be looked at proactively in between when guests are there. Instead I had to call for maintenance. When I did, I had to text and email to additional times before somebody showed up. Apparently there was an emergency with a burst pipe at another one of the properties. I understand that. At the same time it was a little odd having the wonderful maintenance person into our unit at 6:00 p.m. on a Sunday night. If the property management company did a better job with being proactive looking around at simple to fix issues before guests came, I would gladly give a higher review. The people I interacted with over text and email regarding the issues with the property maintenance were very friendly. However they didn't get resolved quickly. If this were some cheap motel 6, no problem. For the money we spent for the long weekend, my expectation is that the bathtubs don't have any clogs, the silver drawer pulls out easily, and the sink knobs and shower knobs function well with nice tight firm connections. Everything in this unit is loose and on the verge of falling apart

It gets worse every year…

Let me start by saying that this is our 3rd time in Keystone and this was by far the worst experience we had. 1) We contacted the property management a day before our check in time and we requested an early check-in (willing to pay extra) because their check-in time is 4:30pm and we were arriving at noon. We were told that they can’t promise anything and we have to contact them again on the day of arrival, which makes no sense because of you are a good property manager you would not wait until the day of to schedule your house cleaning etc…The entry code did not work until 4:30pm so we could not even get inside the common area to stay warm. 2) We also asked a day in advance to ensure that the sleeping sofa has bed sheets, pillows and blankets. When we checked in we found out that there were no blankets for the sleeping sofa. One member of our group had to sleep one night without a blanket (absolutely unacceptable). A day later and a few more text messages we received a blanket… 3) The unit we rented was on top floor (5) and only one elevator servicing that floor was not working when we arrived and got fixed a day later. We had to carry all our luggage and ski equipment through the stairs. This was a miserable experience and totally unacceptable. Luckily we did not have anyone in the group that was disabled but we met other people who had a really tough time climbing stairs with their small children and elderly friends/ relatives. 4) The main reason we booked this unit was the grill on the balcony that was clearly visible in the pictures. Well…there was no grill to be found. We resorted to using the common area grill by the pool BUT it did not work. The gas burners lit up but could not heat up the grill over 70 degrees, so we could not grill any of the meet we had purchased. 5) There is construction going on next to the property where they are developing new condominiums which resulted in blocking off the path to the village and we had to around ways of. What should have been a short 1 minute walk turned into 5+ minutes of walking to get to the shops and restaurants. 6) last but not least, the water pressure in our unit was so low that taking a shower after a long days on the slopes was a miserable experience.

Major Elevator Failure With No Support Or Compensation

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit itself was clean, well furnished, and in a convenient location. Unfortunately, our stay was significantly impacted by a major building issue that was not disclosed prior to arrival.The unit is described as top floor but never mentions it's a fifth floor unit, and both elevators servicing the building were inoperable for a large portion of our stay, including over forty eight consecutive hours. This required climbing more than one hundred stairs multiple times per day with young children, ski equipment, groceries, and luggage.No advance notice was provided before check in, and no alternative accommodations or mitigation were offered once the problem became apparent. While the property management company acknowledged the inconvenience, they repeatedly stated the elevators were managed by the homeowners association and declined to offer any refund or credit.Had we known the elevators were unreliable or out of service, we would not have booked a fifth floor unit. This issue substantially reduced the usability of the property and the overall experience of our vacation.While the condo itself was nice, the lack of transparency and unwillingness to provide any form of compensation after such a significant disruption makes it difficult to recommend this property or management company.
