We had a great time but were surprised/uncomfortable with a few things. Four stars because it’s worth staying in if you are comfortable with how the owners operate. The owners do not like using VRBO and made it very clear throughout our interactions. You have to sign a separate contract with them over email or they will cancel your reservation. In that contract they refuse to comply with VRBO’s cancellation policy and you must prove that you have bought travelers insurance for weather. The day we arrived, the air conditioner was broken and the unit was 87 degrees, even until midnight. I reached out through VRBO and got a response saying that using VRBO to communicate is ridiculous and I should always call instead, but that they were in Paris and busy. I like to use the messaging system because there is a record of everything said. And I booked through VRBO for this exact reason. The air conditioning was fixed the next day after I messaged the person in charge of maintenance (who was wonderful), and the owners are mailing a check to refund my first night’s stay (instead of going through VRBO to refund). After we left, the property manager called and asked where the parking pass was. I had not seen this in the listing and had not seen it in the unit. He was kind and took my word for it. Check in and out was easy and the pool is lovely! It’s a nice circle of townhomes and other guests were kind. ##### Maria J.
