The mansion houses a collection of unique architectural details and historic pieces from the mansion's storied past. \- The James House consists of 8 private rooms each with en-suite bathrooms, mini fridge and private balcony. The Space: King room with private bathroom and either a porch or balcony. In room amenities - mini fridge, iron, ironing board & blow dryer. Guest Access: Our contactless check-in makes the process seamless. Guests will receive a personalized access code before arrival as well as code to the front door code to the James House & Curry Mansion amenities. Room was mostly clean but a little dusty and some random hairs hanging off the blinds in the bathroom. What would keep us from staying at the James House again is the bed (quite literally the MOST uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept in…well, tried to sleep) and all of the noise wasn’t much. People yelling to each other in the hallway and talking outside the room door, loud footsteps on the wood floors, doors slamming, hearing everything upstairs - you can everything in the house and there’s no sleeping in. Right off Duval St., walking distance to everything. The room was clean, but next to front door, it can be noisy. You can hear other guests came and go and can easily hear the road noise (along w/ the roosters every morning.) Very basic room. Would be nice to have a 2nd chair and even a small table. Lots of open space, but not much space (table tops) to set anything down. Basic breakfast amenities across the street are a nice touch.
