WE lit it every morning and watched the sun come up. The bed was a high quality mattress. Had all the towels we needed. Everything we needed was there for us. The food? Let me tell you, they can cook! Each breakfast was different, unique and all of it was excellent. We asked for the french toast recipe! And this was a FULL breakfast, not just "a little something". I was quite impressed with all the details and added touches surrounding the property. The breakfast room is delightful! The ham and fruit salad were such a treat that we were inspired to serve both for our Easter dinner. The bed is so comfortable! The kitchenette is thoughtfully stocked. The cottages are in a wonderful, safe, quite, peaceful location that is great for stargazing. There are plenty of private spots to enjoy the romantic outside setting. The view is absolutely amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our romantic getaway and only wish we could have stayed longer. The location is fantastic. We enjoyed visiting the Empty Cross. It is free and well worth a visit and pictures. We also enjoyed Stonehenge II and the variety of thrift stores in the area for treasure hunting. The is a lovely walk along the river. I would love to come back and go tubing. We highly recommend Thai Ocha in Kerrville. You can sit outside with a lovely view of the river. Both the green and the yellow curry I tried were amazing!!! The servings were SO generous and the prices were incredibly reasonable. We both had an absolutely marvelous time. The hosts were delightful. They have taken such care in creating this treat. We would love to come back! Our only issue was that the water pressure in the shower was low and you must take a short shower in order for both of you to have a hot shower in succession. ##### Aimee M. We visited the Empty Cross and had a great time watching the birds and taking in the natural beauty. The location is perfect—close enough to Fredericksburg for a day trip.
