"Fantastic hotel!"
I chose this hotel on a friends recommendation and I am so glad I listened to her, I could not rate this hotel high enough, it was wonderful with beautiful grounds with a lovely small lake and bridge to an island fantastic I wasn't there for a wedding but it would be amazing for weddings. Every member of staff I dealt with looked smart, were very friendly and polite. Free parking which can mean a lot these days and the whole place was spotlessly clean in well looked after. The gym facilities are amazing and would rival many dedicated gyms, a good selection of dedicated workout stations for weights and resistance training a good selection of free weights, steam room, sauna, cross trainers running machines normal and recumbent exercise bikes, rowing machines and I am sure I have missed lots more. I was lucky enough to have my room upgraded without even knowing about it until I walked into my room to be met by a lovely 4 poster bed and very nice old cast iron roll-top bath and wonderful shower. The bar was quite small but very nice and not ridiculous prices as is sometimes the case in hotels. I did not have food at the hotel but that was because I was out and about with a friend. I will be staying at this hotel as a first choice if I am anywhere nearby... and even if I was not quite so nearby! IMy only regret is that I was not staying longer... This time!, my pictures do not do justice to the hotel but I have included a few.

Shame there aren't more dog friendly rooms (4 only) Breakfast best we've ever had. Walls very thin so can hear people in next room.

"One night stopover"
This was a one-night stopover in a convenient location. The hotel was much as I expected - fairly dated and tired, but clean and fit for my purpose, and the price was appropriate for a 3-star hotel. Good breakfast, although some fruit would've been a good addition to the buffet. Would probably stay here again if I just needed somewhere to stay for one night. But I'd bring some snacks with me if I was checking in late again, since the chef goes home at 9pm.

"Royal Treatment"
Fron start to end, my wife & I had a right 'Royal' experience. The room overlooking the sea was inviting & cosy. The huge bathroom was very clean & amenities were lovely. The bed is very comfortable & large & we slept very well. Breakfast was gorgeous. The salmon bagal was covered in loads of salmon & very fresh. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay very restful & relaxing.

Terrific food, lovely comfortable bed, and very accommodating staff. We had an early morning flight to Heathrow, and they still made us a full breakfast -- an hour early!

"Good for local visits"
Would have appreciated being told about upgrade possibility at time of checking in. Likewise that it might take 4 weeks or so to have card refunded with deposit. Room keys were a disaster and very rarely worked twice. Fortunately I had a fit child with me to run up and down. I could not have done it. That said, staff were friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated Vincent (French) in the restaurant. He took great care of us; clearly liked and was liked by children and was instrumental in my grandchild not wanting to come home and wanting to come back here. (The other great attraction was the pool!) I will remember to book a room nearer the reception next time. Dodgy hip and breathing problems made 266 rather a long hike.

"Simple one night stop-over."
Very nice staff who were welcoming, especially as we arrived just after 2am in the morning. Good comfortable bed, usual facilities, and all of it very clean. Nice breakfast with a good range of food on offer in pleasant surroundings and we were gone by 9am. Very brief but a welcome respite on our journey!

"Hotel overlooking the Harbour"
This hotel is in an excellent location. We stayed here as it was good value and used it as a stop over before an early ferry from Dover. The hotel has a wide range of entertainment including evening bingo! There is a nice size pool and the rooms were very clean. The hotel itself is slightly dated but is not a problem as staff are really friendly and free singers/shows every evening. For the price this hotel is a bargin!
