Cheap and to the point

Posted 26-Jul-2015
The hotel was older and needs to be updated for sure. The bathroom had trash on the floor where they forgot to sweep. Tissues were not replaced and there was a bug not sure if it was a baby roach or a small bed bug. I looked around the mattress to make sure I did not see any bed bugs on the bed or around the wall. Staff was very nice and the lobby was really pretty. The location was great and was next too everything you could every need. Walls were a thin and the tub was just too old and dirty to take a soak. The bathroom was just not 100 percent clean and I believe they could have swept the whole room better. Just careless oversight I guess. The wall outlets where showing the wires and did not look safe! This hotel is ok if you just need a place to sleep at a decent price.

Great place to stay if you like being disrespected

Posted 16-Jul-2015
The hotel itself is not bad, full breakfast in the morning, pool, work out facilities, and the house keeping staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to food, I75, town center mall, and walking distance to Brunswick zone and Costco. The fault with this hotel lies with the front desk personnel. They are rude, disrespectful, and can't be bothered to greet you when you return to the hotel or acknowledge your existence at all. My grand parents are from Texas, they are in their late 70's and spent over $1200 on 2 rooms for their visit to see family here in Kennesaw. When they arrived, they were not greeted, the receptionist was on her cell phone, no one offered to assist them with my grand father who has limited mobility, and when they were explaining the charges, amenities, and check out times, she went through it as fast as possible so she could get back to her cell phone conversation. The front staff were also rude when we booked the room as well. We would have rated this hotel more favorably if it wasn't for the unprofessional staff, the only redeeming quality is the housekeeping staff, location, and amenities. All in all my advice, their are better, more reasonably priced hotels in the area who go the extra mile for customers, appreciate your business and decision to spend your hard earned money with them.

Terrible Stay

Posted 1-Jun-2015 on Hotels
The stay at this hotel was absolutely miserable. We got to our room late after a concert and it was beastly hot. The air conditioning was blowing hot air. I called down to the desk and was repeatedly told that there should be a thermostat on the wall to control the temperature. We searched the room multiple times and there was no thermostat. The air would kick on for a minute about every 5 minutes. My daughter had to sleep with her face over the fan to try to keep cool. When I reported again the following morning at checkout the same gal, I believe, said thanks and filled out a maintenance form. They clearly were not expecting a large crowd at breakfast either. The coffee was empty as were the hot items, eggs and sausage. There were no plates and the garbage cans were overflowing. The gentleman in charge clearly could not keep up. I would never stay at this hotel again. I stay at Wyndham hotels quite often and have never had these types of issues before.

Hotel was nice and located by places to eat and things to do.We had to share breakfast with a couple of traveling baseball teams, but the staff tried to keep everything stocked.

Just OK

Only one night. My first Wingate stay but I've been to one to pick up a guess and I thought much nicer than this particular hotel. It was just OK and I think could use some freshening

Customer Service training needed.

Posted 25-May-2015 on Hotels
I called the hotel at 4am the day I was to arrive to verify my reservation. I was traveling from N.C. to Georgia so I wanted to ensure my room was available upon my arrival. I spoke with Milan, the night agent. He made a rude comment about the hour as he checked on my room. He then charged my credit card in error,as I was to pay when I arrived. The General Manager apologized when I checked in. The next morning the breakfast was great, however the Breakfast attendant was extremely rude to me when I asked if he would not sweep the floor around my table as my family was eating. He then made a snide comment to another guest as he began to break the breakfast bar down 15 minutes early. Once again the General Manager apologized however the attendant Mr. Henry became rude and nasty with her. That was the rudest exchange I have witnessed. The agent and attendant were out of line and need customer service training asap. The agent that checked me I was great. And my stay was awesome no other issues.
