Oak Wood House is a detached house in Ballygriffin, two miles from Kenmare. The house has two double rooms, one with an en-suite and a balcony, and a twin room. There is a shower room on the first floor, and a cloakroom downstairs. Also downstairs is an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with solid fuel stove. There is also a snug with stove and a sun room with sofa and dining area. This leads out to the garden, with a lawn, patio, picnic bench and ample space to run around or just relax and drink in the views. Oak Wood House is a great base for the amenities of Kenmare, or for exploring the Ring of Kerry, Wild Atlantic Way and beyond. Amenities: Oil central heating with solid fuel stoves. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with Saorview, DVD. Fuel and power inc. in rent April to September inclusive (€20 supplement October to March inclusive payable direct to owner). Starter pack for stoves inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off road parking. Lawned gardens to front and side with patio and picnic bench. Gravel area to rear. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 2 miles. The town is full of character with winding streets, farmers' markets, artists' galleries, little boutiques and wonderful restaurants. Within driving distance is the famous town of Killarney, which offers a number of pubs and festivals, as well as a superb National Park. The single track road was interesting at first but after a couple of runs up and down, it became second nature. The location has stunning views and is quiet but not that remote only 3 km from Kenmare.We used the garden room most of the time, when in and enjoyed watching the wildlife in the garden. Kenmare is a lovely town with all the amenities needed and the cottage is ideally located for all of the tourist sites in the region. We loved it!!! ##### Diane W. We enjoyed the kitchen, dining and living spaces. Nice to have a wood fireplace to take the chill out. Property has easy parking and large yard with outdoor space. Property is about 2 miles from downtown Kenmare, road to property very narrow. The property was not very clean; dirty microwave, toilet, lots of cobwebs, as well as food left in freezer/cupboards, missing press for coffee maker and missing lint trap in dryer (making everything very linty and eating any socks, small garments). ##### David K. Die Zufahrt ist sehr Romantisch. Es gab keinen Tag, an dem wir nicht Rehe oder Hasen auf der Strasse hatten. Die Lage ist traumhaft für Ruhesuchende und ein toller Ausgangspunkt für Tagesausflüge. Alles was man braucht ist im Haus vorhanden. Es ist sauber, sehr gemütlich, und für das erste Kaminfeuer ist alles vorbereitet. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind viele vorhanden. Vom Biomarkt bis zum Discounter ist alles gut erreichbar und auch nach einem Tagesausflug oder Ausflug ist Einkaufen kein Problem.
