Originally built in 1834 as the local Free Church and later known as the local village hall, it has recently been converted and restored into a stylish contemporary home located in Nenthorn, just 3 miles north of Kelso. From the advert on Vrbo I thought the property was in Kelso. It is not. It is about 3 miles outside in a hamlet. So if you are expecting a pub / village store this is not for you. To get to anything you need to drive (have a designated driver). Plentiful supply of wood to keep warm. Good WiFi and interactive TV. Board games available. Good dining area! This property is even better than it looks! First of all, after we got lost…Nikki came to our rescue and personally led us to the property. The welcome basket had all the essentials: wine, chocolate, shortbread and even tickets to visit Floors castle (a must do) The house is beautifully decorated and well appointed with everything you need for a stay. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable with high quality linens. Skylights provide great light all day.
