Manoir de Kelmscott, Lechlade : hôtels à proximité

« Lots of character, authentic, old inn (original part built circa 1690) set in beautiful countryside. Some parking on site at rear, but one evening we had to park on the roadside. (It is a quiet road so OK.) There is a nice seating area in a garden in front of the Inn. Nice ambiance overall. Staff are very friendly. Evening meal and breakfast were good. The double room we stayed in was sufficiently quiet and of an acceptable size. Would definitely consider staying again if in the area. »

« The Bell Inn was gorgeous it would have received a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for the staffing issues. Housekeeping had failed to turn up that day and they hadn’t realised until nearly checking time so we never got into our room until 5.45. The staff dealt with this delay professionally and we were served with complimentary drinks. This caused us a bit of an issue as we had to leave at 6.15 for a meal elsewhere. Would definitely stay here again if in this area. »

« Fantastique hôtel, situé au coeur des Cotswolds et tout près d'Oxford. C'était notre deuxième séjour dans cet hôtel et nous avons déjà hâte d'y retourner. L'hôtel et les chambres sont propres, spacieux, décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Le personnel est charmant. Le salon d'accueil est juste magnifique, on peut y prendre une consommation ou simplement venir y lire ou discuter. Un vrai coup de coeur, l'un des meilleurs hôtels que nous aillons fréquenté. »

However the moment we checked in we went to the spa where the cryotherapy was broken and we couldn’t order any refreshments as the lady said she couldn’t leave her post. We waited for over an hour and half for dinner and there was no advice on things to do on activities. »

« Just dont bother Not a 4 star property Rooms upstairs are run down, bathtoom full of spiders Bed was full of ants. Ants on the table in the morning where the tea and coffee was next to the food. Shower was scoulding hot and cold water tap was scoulding hot got told nothing they can do as its due to the heatwave!!! »

« Charming place, clean spacious rooms done up with great taste. Bathroom a little small, but all very clean and practical. Amazing breakfast cooked to order and served by friendly people. The place is well run and it is very comfortable. The village itself has little to offer, but it is a great spot from which to explor the Costwolds. We had a double room (2 adults 2 kids) which was really nice. »

« Well positioned a short way up a small hill. Nice tasty meals. However the outside of the shower tray needed a deep clean and our room only had a skylight window which resulted in it being very warm, even at night, in the high temperatures. »

« The menu was limited, expensive and some dishes were poor. The room “Brewery” was small, limited storage, no fridge, tired decor and UNBEARABLY HOT. However must commend the staff for working through the heatwave. Particular thanks goes to Courtney who was extremely helpful and friendly. In summary hotel should investigate the installation of air conditioning or the use of portable air conditioning units for the summer months.
