A lovely 5 min walk to Kawhia CBD where you find the Rusty Snapper Cafe, Museum, fish and chip shop, local hotel, boating and sports clubs and petrol station. Wharf fishing, surf casting, harbour fishing and charter boats can cover fishing for all tastes. Soak in Te Puia springs on Ocean Beach two hour either side of low tide or just enjoy a sun set over the Tasman sea. Kayak hire can be arranged. The local 9 hole golf course is 5 min drive and has some stunning views of the area. Lovely harbour side walks or a 10 min drive to Aotea Harbour for a walk along the sand dunes or a long one around to Kawhia along Ocean Beach Waitomo is 1-5 hr drive to the caves , along the way are the Marakopa Falls, PiriPiri Caves and the Natural Bridge. Return back through Otorohanga for the Kiwi House and Bird House. 1 hr north is Raglan with some metal road a must see on the way is the Bridle Veil Falls. Special conditions: Smoking outside only using ash tray provided. Washing machine and dryer on request. Kayak hire can be arranged. Unit must be left in clean and tidy condition or $35 charge applies. NO PARTIES. The unit is actually better than the online photos. The fridge is a fridge freezer now and the microwave sits on top of it. There's a nice breakfast bar opposite the kitchen bench and 2 sofas in the lounge. It's a short walk to the shops and wharf. The unit is private and well supplied, for example, we needed scissors and found some in the unit. There are plenty of plates and cutlery. There is a selection of cereals, tea and coffee, and 2 moccona ( I think) coffee sachets ( I like coffee). My wife added she liked the shower. Got a good sleep. From the ease of booking to our arrival & departure. Accommodation was very well laid out and had everything we needed. It was a lovely peaceful location with just a quick 10 minute walk into town. We especially enjoyed the outdoor BBQ area.Our host, Monty, recommended some sites to visit & a day ride on the motorbike.
