We own the entire building with two floors. One tiny living room on the ground floor, a bath house, a separate toilet near the entrance, along with a spacious bathroom with the second living room on the second floor. It’s airy and full of scent of wood. The rooms are very large (think of a one bedroom house) and our room had a beautiful garden and seating area for morning coffee. The bathroom is also a real treat - a lovely cedar bath to soak in, as well as really nice amenities to use. Make sure you have breakfast here also, as the restaurant food is well above the ordinary breakfast served in Japan... lovely presentation, and delicious also. The staff, especially Satoru, are really helpful and certainly go the extra distance to ensure everything you want is provided. He went well beyond what I consider the requirements for a front desk person, helping us to book a rental car, and even confirming our lodgings at the next place we stayed - a really considerate guy, who understands what a difference great service can make for a traveller.
