Our flight departed late in the evening and the staff gave us a very late check out which we were very appreciative of. They bent over backwards to make our stay a delight. The welcome was amazing; unlike any hotel experience we’ve had before. It was a welcome to their home. We were greeted with Bohdi beads, and Arrati ceremony, given tikas, a fresh cake and juice. It was wonderful. We were also give a huge room with special carved windows. Unfortunately this is on the first floor and a bit noisy but they immediately transferred us to a back room which was fantastic. We loved the comfortable beds, the nice linen and after a previous stay at another hotel, relished the rain shower with perfect hot water. There is not a lot immediately outside the hotel but it’s a short 10 minute walk to the Thamel entertainment area. Again. Thank you to Surendra and the Nivis staff.
