Similarly, the dining room is a bit of a barn but these are relatively small quibbles about a perfectly good hotel. The staff was extremely accommodating (except one night manager) when 3 of my children decided to spend the night with me. The breakfast was a delicious buffet. I was so pleasantly surprised since I have stayed in many different Kathmandu hotels. Had to send it back even though I was the only person in the restaurant. Breakfast was full of whole peppercorns for some reason. Local area was not good but I wasn't expecting it to be. Its fairly close to the airport 500 rupees in a taxi. Definitely wouldn't bother paying the 10 dollars for the airport transfer service! Check in was easy, and the staff were very kind and helpful. It was my wife's birthday while we were there, and the staff made her a personalized birthday cake and brought it to our room. We were blown away by the personal touch, and it was a great surprise.
