There is a track from the bach which leads to a beautiful, secluded bay and it is only a five-minute walk to Tokerau Beach and Parakerake Beach. It is also only a 5 km drive to stunning Matai Bay. This area boasts some of the best fishing in NZ, beaches, swimming, snorkeling and kayaking. I do think that the carpets need replacing and the bathroom is quite dated. A microwave would have been nice. There are 2 short walks through forest to local beach which are lovely. It’s not advisable for families with small kids as main bedroom is downstairs - we slept upstairs with the kids. Had to get rid of our rubbish as no bin available.
