Tokerau Beach is great for all ages it offers a wide range of water sports, its an excellent beach to walk down and of course it offers fishing as well as tua tua's yum!! If that's not enough you will be within a 5 min drive to the beautiful Matai bay, Rangiputa and other amazing beaches our beautiful coastline has to offer. This is the perfect location to base yourself to explore everything the far north has to offer with places like Cape Reinga and the world famous 90 mile beach all within a 2 hour drive. Closer to home base just up the road in Whatuwhiwhi is Carrington Estate for lunch or dinner or you could pop across the road and have a round of golf. The hosts made contact, provided lighting and even bought us a cooked chicken so we could eat. They couldn’t do enough and were awesome. Turned out the power was only off for an hour…. The place is immaculate and very well appointed, they have thought about everything you need. It got even better, because of the bad weather they offered us another night for free to enjoy the upcoming improved weather!
