Good value for the money
The hotel is located in the very city centre of Joensuu, close to everything. You get good value for your money. The breakfast buffet is really nice, and the restaurant in the cellar offers nice food for a decent price. The only negative thing is that my room was not made when I returned back to the hotel at 4 pm. The following day, the room was made at my return.

The room was sparse but comfortable. No complimentary water in the room, which I always think is a nice touch for little expense. Comfortable bed, good shower. Little lacking in soul!

A great place to stay
The rooms were very comfortable and I got a good nights sleep. The staff on reception, in the restaurant, and cleaners were all professional and welcoming.My Finnish is not good at all and the receptionists, spoke good English and were a great help and very patient with any translation issues I had. The breakfast was ample, and the evening meal in the restaurant, was good. Would definitely stay here again.

Modern comfortable hotel right in city centre.
Very quiet and comfortable hotel in city centre. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Good buffet breakfast with plenty of choice.

Have to pay Eur7,00 to rent a kettle and cups. Insufficient car parks...about 10 only. Will be fined Euro50,00 if you park in a unallocated car park. it would have been nice if these were mentioned in the hotel.com listing to better inform customers。

A very central, basic hotel, a good choice for short visits as it is close to everything in the small downtown area.

Great Hotel
The hotel has had a revamp since I last stayed there. Parking is limited behind the hotel but you can park on street after 6pm and before 8am so this wasn't an issue for me. Rooms are clean and good size. Self Service Breakfast is served in lower level restaurant and was ideal and catered for ceoliacs. Its central location has one downside which is the noise at night. Other than that I had a good stay and will return again for my next visit.

A good central option
Great location, walking distance from the train station. The hotel is well located in the centre of town, making it easy for us to go for a walk to see the pretty town as we were only there for one night. The breakfast buffet was quite good and dinner in the hotel restaurant was also good. The room may have lacked a bit of character, but it was in great condition and very clean. It was a little disappointing to not have complimentary tea and coffee in the room (you can buy it down in reception) as I can be an early riser and like to have a cup of tea when I get up. I don't necessarily want to have to get dressed just to go downstairs for a cup of tea before breakfast starts.

I'm retruning here in January !
I stayed two nights in October 2014. The hotel was in good condition and popular amongst business travellers. It was very central with easy access to local restaurants and most important for me the airport bus service.

Best In Town
Great location. Easy to find. WIFI was super speed. No issue with noise. Hard to find a downside other than I specifically requested an iron and ironing board and none when booking and none was made available! Probably a 4.5 out of 5

Great Hotel if you are traveling to Joensuu, Finla
This is a nice hotel close to the city center for Joensuu. The hotel is clean, with very good staff service. Breakfast was included and the rooms were clean and well maintained. Traveling here in the summer means you need "black-out" curtains at night since it does not really get dark. The hotel here thought of this (very good to keep the room dark at night). I was traveling here for business but would stay here with my family.

Central Location
Hotel is central in Joensuu area and was ideal for my visit. The hotel has very few parking spaces behind the hotel. I had to park in a nearby car park which is free after 6pm until 8pm. Breakfast is self service and it caters for all your needs. The rooms are very clean and look like they have been recently renovated.

Cumulus Joensuu, recently renovated
A two-night stay at the recently renovated hotel, the hotel room itself was really nice and looked neat. On the other hand, the breakfast was served in the bistro style restaurant on the basement, which wasn't the same style and fashion as the rest of the hotel. The bistro was a bit overpriced for the quality they served. I'm saying the food was okay, but the price level was higher than expected, even with Finnish (high) prices. Prices on Helsinki downtown restaurants are similar (I'm a native Finn) but with better food quality, so if you're in the haste like we were it is an option.

Recommendable except for the parking
Not the most modern venue in Joensuu but clean and well maintained anyway. Location is excellent in downtown. Big disappointment was the hotel parking that was advertised as free. It was free but obviously too small for demand, so it was fully booked every evening. My room was big, especially the bathroom was about the size of a small hotel room. It was an "accessible room", although I did not ask for it. I consider it an upgrade. The breakfast was excellent to my taste.

Sijainti hyvä. Hotelli siisti mutta auttamattomasti jo parhaat päivänsä nähnyt vaatisi kyllä perusteellista remonttia . Aamiainen ihan ok perus. Huoneet siistiä mutta eivät viihtyisiä.
