Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Public bath was clean and relaxing. Good area to access tourist spots in the area. My only concern is the bedrooms, the room had an old smell and the wallpaper was dirty and peeling. If the bedroom wall and carpet was clean I would give a 4 star but the bedrooms were pretty old looking and need renewing. Might be worth it in the summer and if you take advantage of the amenities of the free nightly drink and sento. It was one of only a few available places to stay in the area. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Free, large parking lot. My own mother's room had some paint peeling but was satisfactory. However, my mother-in-law's room was not in good condition with peeling wallpaper. We stayed at the same time as a large group of student travelers, so the noise they made was a bit disconcerting. However, the quality and variety of the breakfast buffet was very satisfactory and made the whole family happy. We understood at a glance that the city's location makes it inaccessible and difficult to manage for foreign tourists to visit. Under such circumstances, this hotel is doing very well.
