I have to admit that when I first arrived I was worried about the highway but that did not affect the stay as much as I first thought. The location overall is wonderful, it is close to many things and the beach access is just on the side of the building. We had the entire beach to ourselves most of the time and views from this location are amazing! The condo was very clean and comfortable and the pool was also a wonderful place to relax. I enjoyed the lanai and the beach nearby. It was so nice to have beach chairs, umbrella, and a cooler to use. The unit has AC, which also was great!The only negative thing I have to mention is the eyesore next door. We very much enjoyed our stay. The bed was super comfortable, all the kitchen things we needed, lots of clean towels and beach gear to use. The pool was great for when we needed some down time. The complex was very pretty, clean and quiet. Bonus: it’s right across the street from Nepali Brewery, just 5 min from an easy access waterfall, and lots of shops and food about 10 min north. ##### Allison C. Bathroom and bedroom are also ample. Nice snorkeling equipment and other beach items also stocked. The apt and the building overall are older, I'm guessing 20 to 25 years old or more, so the countertops, kitchen cabinets and appliances all look antiquated, but again all is in good condition. A/C works well in the bedroom but since it is so old, it is loud, klunky,takes up too much space, and probably costs the admin a fortune in electricity every month, it's also not strong enough to cool the entire condo so you might find yourself with a cold bedroom and a warm muggy living room. The living room is carpeted, which I'm not a fan of, but it was clean. The beach had way more driftwood and stuff on it than appears in the original pictures I saw, so the beach didn't appear to be as "attractive" in person as it was in the pictures. And there is some road noise from the 4 lane highway right next door to the property, though I have to admit in spite of there being 4 lanes, the road noise wasn't that bad, and you don't notice it that much as the waves are constant 24/7 from the nearby beach. However there is also a run down structure next door that looks like it's literally falling apart, and it's not apparent that anything is being done to remove the eyesore. However, to be fair, the building might not belong to WBV thus they may not be in a position to address it effectively. I'd stay here again. ##### Alejandro M. We really appreciated the stock soups, shampoos, coffee, etc so we didn’t need to stress about the small things that we take for granted at home. The location is ideal as far as travel, we were really close to great restaurants and our kayak/hikes/boat events. I didn’t love the Hwy being in my ocean view. At times we could hear the street noise. We also struggled with the patio door. It’s no joke a pain in the butt, my husband needed to fix it several times. I also was surprised to find the entire condo was not air conditioned, just a noisy unit in the bedroom. Because of this, we spent all of our time on the porch or bedroom. Overall, for the price I wasn’t disappointed and we didn’t spend a lot of time in the condo anyways. The grounds were beautiful and the pool was refreshing after our adventures. ##### Anna M. My spouse and I both agreed the condo was great. It has a fun eclectic vintage flair w many original features still intact. Clean and exactly as described and very comfortable. the owners have seen to every possible perk you might need including beach equipment and snorkel gear. That being said the location in Kapaa was not our favorite place we stayed on Kauai. It is close to the airport which made leaving great however there is a current nightly construction project on the main highway that runs past the condo which is loud. There is also a former hotel building that is very much in need of being torn down which is an eyesore along w the same condition of a previous restaurant. We understood both properties have many in many years of litigation due to decide what to do w them. Neither of these things are controllable by the property owners of the condo and the construction should be done in the future. ##### madeleine C. Early the next morning, we finally got to see the full view off the lanai and it was even better than the pictures! The rental space had everything we needed on hand, including a few helpful leftovers from previous guests that helped us get through until we could go to the store--a small bit of coffee and some fresh local fruit, too. The space is well-loved and the location served as a great jumping off point for our first time explorations of Kauai. My only very minor issue had nothing to do with the property--there were a few questionable characters who seemed to be living on the beach (one w/ a machete that I think/hope was for coconuts) and/or hanging out at the gas station nearby, especially later in the evenings. We had no direct issues (we're from a pretty urban area) but it's good to be aware if you plan to walk alone near the property after dark. We had a fantastic time overall and will consider staying here again on future trips. Loved the onsite property managers who were so friendly and helpful! ##### Jenn S.
