I didn't stay, but was charged for the room. I asked for a pet friendly room. When I got there, I was told that they didn't have one available. He offered me no help to resolve this. The pictures do not tell the real story. It seems that the owners of the property know it will only get low prices so they don’t go out of their way to clean. Loose toilet seat, smelled of pee, beds had dust and other things on them, carpet was unwashed and had toe clippings.

Last night (ever) at EconoLodge
From the start, the front desk clerk was rude. When got to the room we had several cockroaches waiting to greet us. The carpet was dirty. One wall had blood smeared on it. The dresser was busted. The toilet was not clean. There were small beetles beached on the edge of the toilet. The sink was cracked leaked water at the base. The was loud music from three opposing directions. We left early. When we told the clerk of the issues he said "Okay, no problem" repeatedly as pointed to a poster draped over the desk as he insisted that I scan some QR code for points so I could stay there again. There is ZERO chance that I would do that. This app will not allow me to upload the photos that I have.

There were bugs in one of the beds and on a sticky trap in the room. Dresser was literally falling apart. Half patched holes in the walls. Not worth more than $50 a night and only then if you’re desperate.

Our hotel was basic. It had the basics met but that was about it. The tub leaked and loudly dripped all night. The pillows were flat and the room carpet was wet so we had to wear shoes to keep our feet dry. No bugs but they must have a mouse issue because we found a trap in our room. We stayed as little as possible and then left. There was a squatter under the steps and the whole place just didn't seem very safe. We won't return.

Not here again.
I won't being staying here again. You get what you pay for so if you are only looking at price this place may meet your needs. The mattress was old and not comfortable at all. The door had no safety lock. There was no one around to get a receipt in the morning.

I liked the location relative to the interstate. It ends there. The staff spoke minimal English, there were blood stains on the floor, bugs in the beds, the shower/tub was grimy. All the wall plugs were a bit sticky as well. Also, some might see the constant police presence as a good thing. No, that’s because there’s drug use and prostitution at this place. There are other options at this price that are so much better. There’s even cheaper options that would’ve been better. I can’t recommend this location in good faith to anyone. Also, the pool is permanently closed.

Suggestions for improvement
I was in town for a family event and so I stayed only needed to stay one night. I was in Room 116 Positives: bed sheets were clean, mattress was comfortable, bathroom sink, and toilet was clean. Had amenities (hair dryer, refrigerator but since I did not use these, I don't know if there were any problems. TV worked. No mold on shower curtain. Old chain locks but they worked. Heater AC worked. Negatives Breakfast poor Walls: thin. I heard the next-door neighbor coughing so well that it sounded like he or she was in my room. Pillowcases: One of the 3 pillowcases had yellow stains on it, but it smelled clean. Bathtub: was not inviting. It had a wide bathtub ring of old dirt on it, so I never used it. Shower curtain; old, torn, unclean. Smells: noticeable odd smell in the bathroom, not sure what it was. The whole room smelled like old cigarette butts. This was a non-smoking room. I am sensitive to smoke and did get nasal congestion and eye irritation from the smell. Bugs: 2 tiny bugs (I killed) In the bathroom, on the floor by the edge of the tub. No further bugs seen. Curtains: old and torn a bit did not want to close completely. That left me feeling unsecure. Suggest Use a soap scum cleaner for the tub or Replace tub and shower curtain. Replace inside drape. Replace chain lock with more secure bolt lock. Hire a company that deals with smoke from house fires. They have the ability to get rid of smoke and make the rooms smell like there was never a smoke problem.

Only picked this place bc I was told it was the safest around. Had to stop and sleep after driving for 12 hrs and got an upstairs room w no elevator! I’m disabled! It was a smoking room which I was not told. Holes in curtains? Months or cigarette burns?? Just awful!

There were bugs crawling on the tv when you turned it on the bed sheets were stained and it didn’t make you feel like you were safe to stay there when you see bugs crawling around in your room!

Before even traveling we knew our options were slim and found out that Taylor Swift would be in town on our selected days. This hotel was basically our only option. I reserved 2 rooms at a rate of $108 per night for a total of $235.04 per room. We arrive to check in. I did not ask the price because I already knew. The guy at the “desk” processed my payment for $414.36. When I asked why he said that what he saw on his end was $180/night. He refused to honor my reservation and basically said reserving on Expedia doesn’t guarantee the rate and he can’t see my reservation even after I gave him my name and he pulled it up the rate he saw was different. He said they had no way to change to reservation to honor the quoted price. So we obviously did not pay that rate for this low rated hotel. This is not a hotel we would typically stay at but the way the issue was handled is what solidified the decision of never returning and promoting the negative review.

I have stayed at this hotel several years ago and while it is an economy hotel, at least it was clean. I can’t say the same about this stay. The bathroom floor, though mopped earlier in the day, was dirty. An attempt had been made to clean the mirror but it was so streaked that I had to dampen a washcloth and wipe it to be able to see myself clearly. One bright spot was that the bed was reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was supposed to be 6 to 9 AM, but when I went just before 7 AM nothing was available. The clerk was just beginning to set up. The chairs were still upside down on the tables. The next time I’m in Belton, I’ll stay somewhere else.

The only thing that was great was the staff they was very friendly let me check in like 10 minutes early now I got a smoking room this time and the door was messed up I left to go get something to eat and my door which I thought I close was easy to just push in I did not need my key it was also the doorhad damage to it then the room smelled like animals and like no one has been in that room to clean my sheet and blanket had burn holes on it my bathroom toilet was broke it wobbled when u sat on it
