Can’t say enough good things about this beach and the location of the condo. Being able to walk right out your door directly onto grassy area for sunsets or down to the beach or to the pool and all hotel amenities, but still have privacy + a full kitchen and private patio with plunge pool is unbeatable. The condo is exactly as pictured: clean and modern with a gorgeous sunset view from the plunge pool. Our family of 4 spent a lot of time hanging out on the patio and slipping in and out of the pool. We also really appreciated having access to the amenities at the Hapuna Westin and Mauna Kea, including the pools and beach loungers--it is very nice (and rare, in my experience) to have a spacious condo plus hotel amenities. The kitchen was well appointed, the furniture was comfortable, the view was spectacular, and the plunge pool was a luxury that topped off our stay. Being in a wheelchair makes it tricky to find properties where I can get around. This condo worked great. The bed was lower than your typical hotel bed, so it was easier to get in and out of. I did have to make requests for a chair in the shower and the door to the bathroom to be removed so my wheelchair would fit. The owner, Peter, was graciously quick to accommodate. The accommodations were spacious, modern, and very comfortable. I just wish we had more time to relax on the beautiful lanai! We were out exploring during most days during our stay, but coming back to the condo each evening felt like home. Communication with Peter was wonderful. He was extremely quick to respond to the few questions we had prior to our arrival and during our stay. We enjoyed a couple of lovely brunch meals and a dinner at Manta (Mauna Kea Resort next door). It was about a 5-minute car ride and an easy valet process. There is a major renovation going on at the Mauna Kea property, but despite this, our family preferred meals, as well as the beach area there over the Westin. If you plan to dine at the Westin (lunch or dinner), I highly recommend making reservations ahead of time. We learned the hard way on our first evening that we had to leave the resort for dinner due to no availability at the Westin. In hindsight, we probably could have been accommodated on the Mauna Kea side, but ended up venturing down to Tommy Bahama.
