This stunning gated community is one of the Big Island’s newest neighborhoods and offers beautifully appointed luxury homes with golf course, ocean and mountain views. This home is Hawaiian owned and operated and under new management full of Aloha service and spirit. This luxurious 2-story home boasts the largest floor plan in KaMilo, offering 4-bedrooms, 3.5-baths. The large open floor plan optimizes space and privacy effortlessly. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine on the upstairs lanai while taking in the beautiful views of Haleakala on Maui (on a clear day) or the Kohala Mountain range. You will not be disappointed while driving up to the property, park and enjoy as you will immediately be taken back by the sight of 4 of the mountain ranges here on Hawaii Island; Kohala, Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, & Hualalai, all while unloading your luggage. The gorgeous finishes throughout the kitchen and main living area as well as the lavish retreat-like bedrooms exudes vacation luxury at its finest. Take a step through the front door and enter into your luxury Hawaiian retreat home. You will be immediately enchanted by the beauty of this home. The gorgeous gourmet kitchen features top of the line appliances paired with all the cookware you need should you feel like preparing a gourmet feast. Barbecuing off of the lanai is also an option with everything provided (i.e. gourmet stainless steel BBQ grill, propane tank, barbecue tools, as well as comfortable outside furniture for the cook and co-cooks to relax and sip on their favorite beverages, while preparing meals). No expense has been spared in this home as it is furnished with Bamboo Flooring, top of the line furniture as well as the most up to date electronics for your entertainment (i.e. HD Cable TV, Flat Screen HDTVs in the main living area as well as within each room, and high speed Wifi internet). This room also has the ability for the beds to be configured as a Cal-King, if you wish. The 3rd bedroom shares a bathroom with the twin bedroom mentioned previously and is nautically designed with the ocean at heart. This 3rd bedroom has two Queen beds as well as a large walk in closet. Last but certainly not least is the main Master Suite. This exquisite design exudes a fusion of modern style, clean-line artistry, coupled with warm decor and 1 King bed. Walk from your master suite into your grand Master Bath. No expense was spared here with its double vanity, enormously deep soaking tub, and a large walk in glass river rock shower. The master bathroom is also home to a large walk in closet for all your vacation clothing/gear. However, it doesn't stop there, the main master suite along with the other 2 downstairs bedrooms, open up to their own private lanai's. This home is filled with Aloha spirit and service and is waiting to welcome you into its Ohana. Want to take a dip in one of two pools this community has to offer, or perhaps work up a Hawaiian style sweat? The recreation center is just a 5 minute leisure walk down the street. The recreation center features a dedicated lap pool, a free-form pool, two hot tubs, an exercise room with equipment and plenty of room to sweat. It also offers a huge covered pavilion with plenty of room for eating lunch or seeking shelter from the blazing Hawaiian sun. Some of the best snorkeling is just a few minutes’ drive to the Mauna Lani Beach Club, where soft, lapping waves are safe for young and old alike. Journey around and follow the marked paths to discover some of Mauna Lani's ancient fish ponds. The house is well equipped with floaties, beach toys, boogie boards, noodles, etc. kitchen was well equipped too. Easy quick stroll to the community pool and 2 min drive to foodland and the Mauna Lani shops which has all you need from coffee in the mornings, to açaí bowls for a snack and grocery store to make dinner. The kitchen is has everything you could need by way of pits, pans, mixing bowls, plates, cutlery, measuring cups, etc. Tons of extra beach towels and bath towels. We used the pack and play for our two year old (we brought our own sheet although I didn’t check if the house had one). Huge washer and dryers to run laundry. Using the beach club card was easy, we got there at 8 and were one of the first in the parking lot. When we left at around 10 the parking lot was completely full. I would recommend bringing your own shampoo and conditioner. Small hotel sized bottles were provided, but if you like a good lather probably not enough depending on how long you are staying. From the start, Bonnie was kind and communicative, and let us know when the home was available for an earlier check-in time. The house is spacious, beautifully appointed, immaculate in terms of cleanliness, and in a perfect location. We enjoyed relaxing on the lanai in the morning and evening, cooking big family dinners (the kitchen has everything you need), and we all slept well in the comfortable beds and bedrooms after days packed with play. We were a large group (12 in all), and the home has enough space such that we could enjoy our communal “together time” and also have privacy in the individual bedrooms as needed. Mauna Lani’s Beach Club was perfect for the little ones in our group, while the rest of us explored the many great beaches within short driving distances from the house. (The garage is well stocked with boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, and umbrellas). Other highlights of our trip included a drive up to Mauna Kea for stargazing and watching an amazing sunset and moonrise, and snorkeling to see Manta Rays. All in all, this home proved to be an absolutely perfect home base. We plan to book again for future trips to the Big Island. ##### Kana M. Beautiful home, very clean, and room for our multi- generation family (grandparents, 5 adult children and a 3 1/2 yr old) to spread out yet be together comfortably. Home was generously stocked with extra sheets and towels- including a wedge to turn the room with 2 Extra long twin beds into a King.) Very explicit directions for access to the property were provided. Great open floor plan, air conditioned, very comfortable beds with lanai area off each room. The sunset view from the lanai near the living/dining area was gorgeous. Beautiful community pool in this gated community, The Beach Club access card that was provided gave us access to a wonderful beach cove. The day we spent at The Beach Club, snorkeling off the life-guarded beach was THE BEST! We all really appreciated all the garage items that allowed us to enjoy the beach - umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards, coolers, and beach towels. We brought our own snorkel, mask and water/scuba booties and saw lots of beautiful tropical fish. Thanks for a great stay. Wish we could have stayed longer, and hope to be back again! ##### Janet P. We encountered multiple inconveniences and deficiencies (leaking pipe flooding under sink, dirty kitchen appliances, coffee and grounds still in pot from prior tenant, broken couch on lanai, jammed unusable screen door to lanai, dirty grill with malfunctioning starters, window screens not fitted to windows which repeatedly pop off, broken table lamp). On one occasion a bird flew in after a screen popped off and after helping it out, we cleaned several poops off floor and on furniture. We did enjoy our week long family gathering and were good natured and accommodating with the host. Agreed to minimize use of leaking sink and repeatedly empty basin collecting the water. I sent a kind message upon departure to our host and suggested she remedy the various problems prior to next occupancy. We were totally dismayed at her charging the maximum “property damage deposit” stating “unclean” and “indoor furniture left outside” (we did leave one ottoman on the covered lanai used the morning of departure for seating since the sofa on the lanai was broken). She complained of sand left on the floor and sent a photo showing minimal sand on the floor of the entry (a beach house!) and sent a photo of a bird poop on a windowsill blaming us for it! We still await resolution and have not yet received our deposit back. VRBO folks reviewing this case are helpful and reassuring that we will get our deposit back but it is an arduous process and certainly soured our otherwise fun family vacation. ##### Ann H.
