Our room didn’t lock and a worker walked right into our room minutes after we checked in, went to the restaurant only ones in there took 45 mins I’m sure they forgot

It looks much better on the pictures. Also paid parking was never mentioned. Additionally, I had an idea that I will hade a tube, as I saw on the pictures while booking. Lastly, the breakfast was poor, consisting only with scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, coffee and bread with butter, oh and bananas. In general, the hotel could be really cool and vintage, but it feels like nobody really cares about the business

I called the property to notify I would be arriving late and they charged my card before I even showed up. (11:50pm) they then proceeded to tell me I had a pet fee that was never on the invoice and I have no pets with me. Also they wanted to charge me for the room again. I’ve never had such a poor check in experience with an Expedia reservation. This shouldn’t be such a hassle and caused unneeded grief.

This is a historical hotel, so no one should expect modern features. However, it is very quaint and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and you are right downtown where there are some decent restaurants within walking distance.

First room given the heating unit was stuck on 30 degrees celcius. The front desk's solytion was to open a window. When i requested a differant room i got one above the night club in thet room the tv dis not work. Never going back.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were clean & comfortable & the hotel had a very quaint feeling. There were also so many cute shops & great restaurants all around the hotel. The only bad thing was a problem with our bathroom sink but they sent someone to come & fix it that evening.

Drink voucher is a joke, front desk told me I can use to redeem at the lounge for $10 worth of food or drink. I ordered 2 cocktails and when I pay the voucher doesn’t work. (Only for tap beer and house wine). The staff in the lounge said I can use the voucher in the morning which is not true, they open at 11:30, so never used them.

I enjoyed the historical aspect of the hotel. The rooms were lovely and the elevator was a nice surprise being the oldest in BC! Too many times these days everyone is upgrading to a more simple mod design. The old wood charm here brings you back in history.

Hotel was great for the price but parking was horrible. The one lot they have adjacent to the hotel was extremely narrow and hard to navigate with limited spots. We had to move to an overflow lot due to lack of space- which was 2 blocks away.

The hotel is small. Our queen size bed took up the majority of the room. It was dirty overall. Wouldn’t stay here if my life depended on it.

The staff were helpful however the room, breakfast area and halls etc needed a good clean and vacuum. Included breakfast was ok.on the Sunday morning however Monday morning was definitely left over from.previous day and not even reheated to be warm. Get what you pay for i guess.

Surprisingly quiet for a downtown hotel. Staff was very friendly, breakfast (included) was fresh and tasty. Breakfast staff is excellent. Would definitely visit again.

Very sketchy area. The hotel is very old and outdated. Victoria has a ton of homeless people in the area. Hotel parking was full of homeless and not safe. I would not stay here unless there were no other options.

We booked for two nights, checked in around 5. The room was extremely warm, so we turned down the thermostat and opened the windows. When we went to sleep around 11 the room was still hot, we slept with the windows fully opened all night and the temperature was probably about 30°C throughout the night. Keep in mind it was about 6°C outside. We didnt get much sleep at all and was sweating through the night with no blankets. Had to get up a few times to put cold wet towels on ourselves and our poor pup, who drank through a couple bowls of water. When asked staff said heating was building centralized and there wasnt anything they could do about that but offered fans. Second night we had two fans running and the windows fully opened and finally slept at a normal temperature. Sleeping with the windows open was very loud and we couldnt close the blinds because the room was too warm so the street lights were quite bright. Breakfast was good though, but parking is not included.
