It is perfectly situated on a great all sports lake and comes with kayaks and boats to use. The property management was very helpful and responsive. There was plenty of room for 10 adults and a toddler, including an elderly family member with mobility issues who was able to stay on the main floor. One thing to note is that there were no toiletries at all, aside from hand soap and dish soap at the sinks, so you will need to stock the bathrooms/showers with your own. There were a couple of small upkeep issues (like slow sink drains and a bathtub stopper that did not work and the deck could use a good powerwash), but these did not hinder our ability to enjoy the property. The inside of the house was spotless and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. We LOVED the beach/dock/firepit area and the large upper deck where we could all eat and hang out together. The swimming platform was unfortunately unusable due to being completely covered in old goose poop, but we were able to play in the lake without using the raft, the kids were just a little bummed. Our college-aged kids loved the game room downstairs. Overall, great property and very clean. We would definitely stay again, but taking care of these minor issues would just enhance the experience for everyone! ##### Katherine L. This has been our favorite rental so far. There was ample room to be together for meals and activities and also room to independently savor the quiet beauty of Chief Lake. The available kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, paddle boat, life jackets and fishing poles combined with the quiet lake provided opportunities for everyone to safely have lots of fun during the day with evenings around the comfortable fire pit enjoyed too. We also appreciated its proximity to Sleeping Bear Dunes for hiking and Portage Lake for tubing. We hope to make many more happy memories there again in the future. ##### mary l. The downstairs has all the fun games from ping pong to air hockey, and arcade games, a teen heaven! Lake is big enough to tube and jet ski, but not a big lake. On a rainy day, we found board games, puzzles, lady pacman, foosball, ping pong, air hockey and video games! and of course TV and wifi for the quiet moments. We found everything we needed in the kitchen plus a closet of different spices, they even have a blender. The housekeeping group is fabulous and it was very clean and well stocked with towels for inside and out.
