A character-filled traditional stone residence offering nature lovers the perfect retreat to enjoy Greece’s sun, crystal-clear seas, and lush breathtaking scenery. This ideal vacation home caters to a range of needs, from romantic escapes for couples to family holidays with infants. The bright, 70 sqm space includes two bedrooms, a cozy living room with a stone fireplace, a fully equipped open kitchen, and one bathroom. It accommodates four people across two bedrooms, with an additional sofa bed in the living room for an extra guest. A portable baby cot can also be placed in either bedroom. Situated in the middle of a private olive grove, the house faces Taygetos Mountain and overlooks the Messinian Bay, offering panoramic views of the entire Messinia area from Kalamata to Koroni. This wonderful and tranquil setting creates the perfect backdrop for visitors to enjoy exciting dinners on the upper veranda, accompanied by stunning sea views and the soothing sound of the waves. The exterior features large balconies and spacious yards where visitors can enjoy sunny breakfasts. Kids can play safely around, while adults can unwind under the shade of pine trees, lulled by the sea breeze and the melody of singing cicadas. Visitors are welcome to freely sample home-grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs from the garden, including sweet figs, pears, grapes, olives, basil, rosemary, and oregano. Located in a secluded spot outside the village, the house operates as a short-term rental, but only seasonally. To ensure the safety of the property, security cameras monitor the public spaces of the property, including the entrance and back yards. Our vacation home is situated along the coastal route between Kalamata and Koroni, just past the village of Petalidi. Petalidi village is conveniently close, featuring traditional restaurants along with mini-markets, cafes, bakeries and various shops. At the same time, it is discreetly nestled behind a small hill, allowing for uninterrupted enjoyment of the surrounding nature. Organized beaches featuring beach bars with loungers and umbrellas are conveniently located near the house. The Petalidi area also offers sea activities and water sports. Additionally, pristine, unorganized beaches are plenty and just a short drive away. The house enjoys an ideal location for short excursions within Messinia, putting you just a half-hour drive from Kalamata’s vibrant city life, the fascinating archaeological site of Ancient Messini, and the picturesque castles of Koroni, Methoni, and Pylos, with the charming traditional villages surrounding them. Nature lovers will be captivated by Messinia’s treasures, such as Polylimnio, a breathtaking series of 15 cascading lakes with waterfalls and hidden natural swimming pools set amidst lush greenery. L accueil est juste parfait et chaleureux. Merci à Aris, sa maman Anna, sa soeur Vasso et son mari Michael pour nous avoir fait nous sentir comme à la maison.La vue de la maison est incroyable! Tout est tres confortable, il ne manque rien si vous voulez cuisiner.Sans compter les petits "cadeaux" égrènés au fil du séjour. Un plat fameux pour l arrivée, du raisin, des figues, le petit café,...Le chemin d accès à la maison est en terre mais pas d inquietude, il est tres praticable.Bref, une excellente adresse à retenir pour se reposer dans un cadre superbe et calme.Les plages a quelques minutes et pour ceux qui souhaitent visiter les sites remarquables de la region, l emplacement est ideal pour rayonner facilement. ##### Arnaud B. Wir kommen aus einer Grossstadt und haben die Ruhe, die Natur und den wunderschönen Blick aufs Meer und Berge von der Terrasse aus genossen. Die Wohnung hat alles was man braucht, aus der Dusche kommt sofort heißes Wasser, Klimaanlage funktionierte top und war auch leise, die große Terrasse die um das Haus herum geht, war mit den Markisen von der Sonne und Überdachung von dem Regen geschützt. Das Haus ist aus Steinen bebaut, sehr stabil und sehr gemütlich. Zu der Küchenausstattung gehörte wirklich alles, was man auch zu Hause hat. Uns hat nichts gefehlt. Und jetzt zu den Vermietern: Aris konnten wir, egal in welcher Tageszeit, telefonisch erreichen, der war immer für uns da und hat jedes Problemchen sofort gelöst. Seine Eltern wohnen in dem Nachbarhaus, sehr nette Leute. Wir sind am Sonntag Abend angekommen, Geschäfte (Lidl) waren zu und die Mutter von Aris hat für uns ein leckeres Mittagessen vorbereitet, Danke Anna! Der Kühlschrank war voll mit Getränken, Obst, Gemüse, Käse, Wurst, Milch, Brot. Also müssten wir nicht mal uns um den Frühstück am nächsten Montag Gedanken machen. Mein Mann war begeistert, dass es nicht nur eine Kaffeemaschine, sondern auch Kaffeefilter und Kaffee da war. So was haben wir noch nie erlebt. Ich kann die Wohnung nur weiter empfehlen. Wir haben viel erlebt und gesehen von der Halbinsel, Pelloponess ist wirklich sehr schön. Das war ein toller Urlaub. ##### Lilli F. Der Kühlschrank war bei unserer Ankunft mit dem Nötigsten gefüllt. Die Nachbarn , Anna und Kostas (Eltern des Vermieters) sind sehr herzlich, wir waren am ersten Abend zu einem typisch griechischen Essen in ihrem Haus eingeladen. Köstlich!! Zudem erhielten wir alle paar Tage frische Feigen , sehr lecker! Es hat viele wunderschöne Strände in der Nähe, allerdings ist (leider) keiner wirklich gut zu Fuss erreichbar, ausser man überquert wagemutig eine Schnellstrasse...Mietauto deshalb unbedingt empfehlenswert, auch für Ausflüge, die zu unternehmen es sich lohnt! Das Haus hat alles was man braucht und noch mehr, einen schönen Garten und eine Terrasse wo man zur jeder Tageszeit ein schattiges Plätzchen findet um den traumhaften Ausblick auf das Meer zu genießen! Auch die Lage ist genial um viele Ausflüge zu unternehmen und spontan schnell zu einen der vielen Strände zu kommen. Die Herzliche Gastfreundschaft von Aris Eltern kann man gar nicht beschreiben, Sie machen es einem sehr leicht sich wie zu Hause zu fühlen! Wir werden die Zeit mit Ihnen immer in schöner Erinnerung behalten! Auch Aris ist ein sehr hilfsbereiter freundlicher Gastgeber und jederzeit erreichbar. The house had everything we needed, with beautiful views in a secluded location. Mrs Anna and Mr Kostas were very welcoming, friendly and generous with their home produce. We particularly recommend the fresh figs which are delicious eaten straight off the tree but very good mixed with Greek yoghurt as well. There was lots of information on beaches, excursions and restaurants, which was very helpful. We especially loved the Polylimnio Waterfalls and Ancient Messini. Methoni Castle was also a highlight. The beaches are lovely and the whole area is peaceful and unspoilt. In summary, we heartily recommend this house and destination for those looking to enjoy a true Greek experience. From the terrace, surrounded with a beautiful garden with olive trees you have an excellent view on the sea. The parents of Aris were very, very kind and helpfull. The information that Aris has given us was excellent. We have visited castles, villages and ancient sites and at the and of the day we had a drink at our favorite beach (the carribean). It is in a very relaxing location with great views and excellent hosts who help to give you the feel of the real Greece. They were very kind and generous. Aris has made a very good folder with ideas of the best visitor attractions in the area which was very useful. There are some amazing castles, plenty of lovely beaches all within an hours drive. Aris Eltern haben uns sehr herzlich aufgenommen, uns zum Essen eingeladen und immer mit frischen Feigen und Trauben versorgt. Der Kühlschrank war bei unserer Ankunft gefüllt und auch sonst hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Es war einfach wunderbar und besser könnte man nicht empfangen werden.
