Kona Luana is a unique 3 story condominium. Unit 1 is on the first floor and is not a rental. Unit 2 and Unit 3 are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. both opposite each other, both of which have the identical floor plan. There is no elevator and there is 1 flight of exterior stairs which takes you to the 1st level and 1 flight of interior stairs which take you to the upper level, bedrooms, bathrooms. Living room: Includes Direct TV, Samsung Channels. A large 55", Samsung, High Definition flat screen. An office desk, Couch and chair. A gorgeous, unique stone flooring, The staircase and all upstairs are all tiled using Travertine.. A breath taking 180 degree view of Kahului Bay that is only feet away. The living room also has Air Condition just in case you need it. Kitchen: A Corian counter top, full range of cooking utensils including, pots, pans, glasses, plates and cups. This unit comes with it's own private washer and dryer, which are new and bought 10/2022\. A completely remodeled kitchen witch includes custom cabinets, dishwasher and a refrigerator/ freezer. It also includes a microwave, convection oven, crock pot, blender, coffee maker, grinder and toaster. Master Bedroom: has an incredible ocean view and private lanai. The bedroom has a travertine floor, 2 large closets, 42" flat screen H.D. Television, DirecTV and Sansung channels. The décor is stylized as Ming and Qing dynasties’ and very comfortable for living. You can feel both classic royalty and the modern luxury. The queen size, low Japanese platform bed, is actually one Asian item which has invaded the Traditional western bedroom with white cotton sheets plus some colored pillows to highlight the darkened wood. This creates the spa-like ambiance that’s truly bliss. Master Bathroom: Includes tub, as well as a shower and Asian style wash basin and custom tile flooring. The master bedroom also has it's own private lanai that includes rattan furnishings. 2nd. Bedroom: This bedroom has two twin size beds and it's own air conditioning. Asian style décor including a teak dresser and night stand. 2nd. Bathroom: Completely remodeled, this bathroom is tiled in travertine with a mosaic tile floor. The shower also has 3/4' seamless glass doors with stainless steel fixtures. Kona Vacations Rental provides the optimal way to enjoy your Hawaiian vacation with all the luxuries and comforts of home, shopping, dining and entertainment are well within walking distance. Pest Control: I have both condos treated for pests quarterly. Just be aware, this is an oceanfront home on an Island. Occasionally, there are insects. If you leave food out, the tiny ants will come, if you leave the door or screen open, bugs will come in. If insects bother you, then look somewhere else. Our goal is to provide you with first class customer service, clean and well maintained accommodations making your stay with us an unforgettable, Kona dream vacation. Being so close to the ocean was awesome, and sleeping to the sound of the waves and ocean breezes was idyllic. Condo was clean and beds were comfortable. Mark was a very responsive host. The property is otherwise aging and showing the signs of getting older. Several repair items were brought to the attention of the owner, to which he immediately responded that he would take care of our concerns. If you are older and have difficulty managing stairs with heavy luggage, this is not the property for you.Bed was not very comfortable, and when I changed the sheets, I noted a foam rubber pad beneath the mattress pad. I believe a new mattress is in order. Bedspread was stained, porch furniture is falling apart. Bugs in light fixture above dining table not very appealing.Fortunately, all appliances / washer / dryer all in good working order. Appreciate that laundry soap etc. was there and available for use.I am confident that the owner will take care of my concerns, he seemed very responsive. ##### Tracy S. After 37 years coming to the island, this was the best place to stay. A couple of things: up stairs TV was stuck on max volume. No worry for us as we didn’t use. Parking a bit tight for small suv. Hot pot and toaster on the Fritz. Again, not a problem for us. Kuerig coffee maker nice touch. My biggest issue was having to clean up ants (maybe termites as they left a mess on the counter) everyday even though we made sure to clean and put away food properly. The condo was exactly as described. Very spacious and spotless. The queen bed in the master was lovely. The large walk in shower delightful. The views from both lanais was breathtaking. Mark was super responsive. We extended our stay by 3 days and the entire process was handled by Mark in just a few minutes. We especially loved the space. The condo is very spacious. This is a three unit building so not part of a big condo complex. Parking was right in front of the building. Lots of privacy and great views. There are plenty of dishes, silverware, glasses and cups. A drip coffee maker and a Kuerig. Plenty of beach towels, chairs, dive masks and snorkels. Looked to be brand new fullsize Maytag washer and driver. Everything we needed. The wave action on the rocks directly in front was a little louder than expected, but beautiful nonetheless. About 1 mile to restaurants and shopping. Great stay. ##### Dwayne D. The view is amazing and can’t be beat. It’s an older place that had been updated with love. The view is incredible, ocean waves and breeze. Easy walk to town and restaurants. Fronting street can be busy but ocean noise usually cancels the street sound and most drivers will yield when you are exiting the property. ##### Steven S. Morning coffee and evening wine on the two lanai, watching whales and a great sunset, it's a place we would rent again for sure! ##### Cliff D. We saw whale spouts, tails, pectoral fins and breaches from the lanai! Next time I will bring a telephoto lens. Fortunately Binoculars brought whales closer. We were mesmerized by the crashing waves, spotting Yellow Tang and other fish in the surf. We did close the glass patio doors, though, so we could sleep. The shower was fantastic. The washer and dryer were a wonderful luxury. My brother and sister-in-law joined us here for some meals and whale-watching. They stayed in a nearby hotel. The decor was tasteful, the bed we used and the furniture are comfortable. The parking is tight. We are glad we had a small SUV. The art gallery on ground level is delightful. Enjoyed meeting the artist. A wonderful stay overall, in January of the year we celebrate our 50th Anniversary. ##### Barbara L. We spent a lot of time watching the waves crashing on the lava rocks. It was equipped with everything we needed for cooking and all the equipment needed for a day at the beach. The closest beach was a very easy walk. And the restaurants and tourist area was just a little farther. ##### Ronald R. We loved this condo and cannot say enough good things. The condo was stocked with regular household needs which cut down on expenses but also thoughtful things like beach chairs, coolers and snorkel gear. The bathrooms, washer dryer and flooring were all updated and which made the feel so luxurious! I saw past reviews about insects and was initially worried but as long as you kept things clean it was good. The only knock was parking which was tight but that’s typical Hawaii. The location was glorious. OMG! Quick walk to the beach, and then a close walk to downtown Kona. The condo was the nearest to the ocean we have ever stayed and so very peaceful with the constant breeze and soothing sound. The double balcony was amazing! We got to see spinner dolphins come so close and put on quite a show. We can't wait to stay there again!! ##### Robyn B.
