MORE DETAILS... This lovely 2-bedroom 2-bath (sleeps 4) condo is located in the popular Keauhou Kona Surf & Racquet Club (KKSRC). As soon as you turn into the drive and approach this gated complex you'll feel as if you've arrived in a botanical garden paradise! There are lovely palm trees all along the external side of the property and flowers interspersed everywhere with a variety of lush plants that will make you think you’re in a professional garden! And, this includes glimpses of our beautiful blue Pacific Ocean that you can see just past the pool and tennis courts and the main pavilion and (resident managers) office. All guests need a gate code to access the complex OR they need to call Resident Manager from the gate to obtain access. This supports limiting access to guests that have permission to be on property or the owners who live onsite. The pool and tennis courts are also owner guest use only and codes are needed to access both. All this for our owners and respective guests. Each unit also has designated parking spots so our guests do NOT need to hunt or hope for a parking spot. The condo itself was purchased a few years ago by owners that were guests to the complex many times before purchasing. Since purchasing they have lovingly and meticulously remodeled the kitchen and bathroom, painted the condo completely, replaced any outdated furnishings, updated lanai area and continue improvements on each visit (one or two per year). The very selective owners of this unit do everything possible to ensure the unit is decorated and well maintained for their personal use and enjoyment and to ensure that their guests find the unit as comfortable and delightful as possible. The initial response of most guests is that the unit is beyond anything they were expecting and they expected nice. :) Exceeding expectations is the goal!! This property also resides on a very important historical area of the Kona Coast and we have three landmark heiaus ('royal 'dwellings) on our property. Spacious inside and out we hope you enjoy this lovely ground floor unit with beautiful views of gardens and an easy one to two-minute walk to the oceanfront nearby or just steps off your lanai to see the Kona Country Club Golf Course. Tropical and comfortable - this refreshed home-away-from-home offers guests an open feeling and is wonderfully furnished with all the amenities of home. The large kitchen is fully stocked and opens up to the indoor and outdoor dining and living space. As our guest, you will quickly recognize that this vacation home was designed with your comfort and enjoyment in mind. There are TVs in both of the bedrooms and living room, free & secure Wi-Fi internet access, a washer and dryer in the unit and nearby BBQ's (shared) for your use. For the beachgoers, there are beach towels for each guest, and a few beach chairs and a cooler or two to help you enjoy 'away' excursions. Guests can also enjoy our large and recently renovated swimming pool and a game of tennis (two racquets in the unit for guest use). The option of Pickle Ball has been added recently and there’s also ping-pong at the main pavilion and we have a ping pong paddle set for the exclusive use of our guests. Your reserved and designated parking spot is just steps away from the front door. WHAT'S NEARBY.... The best snorkeling park on the island is a five-to-ten minute walk or three-minute drive away – Kahalu’u Beach Park. This lovely park has parking, covered seating and bathrooms, lifeguards, and plenty of space to set your beach chairs and towels and enjoy world-class snorkeling. There are also water gear rentals. Beautiful Keauhou Bay is just a 5-minute drive for snorkeling, boating, kayaking, stand up paddling and also outrigger canoe paddling/rentals. Chocolate and Coffee Plantations are just up the hill (about three to five miles) and less than 10-15 minutes from door to door. Keauhou Shopping Center is just up the hill for all your shopping needs and restaurants and you’ll even find a movie theatre and (heaven forbid) an URGENT CARE for medical issues. Kailua Village is a 10-15 minute meandering oceanfront drive away. You can enjoy more restaurants and shopping and a bit more nightlife, if desired, here. Outdoor markets abound on the Big Island with several open most days each week. Alii Garden Marketplace is three miles north on Alii Drive and it's a fun place to shop or enjoy a variety of delicious foods! This is just a start to all the delights of the Big Island. The grounds are well kept, pool is warm and the location was perfect for us. It's located away from the "city" action but it easy to get to. It's close to a fantastic snorkel spot. We only gave a four star review because the cleanliness when we arrived was disappointing. There was quite a bit of dust in multiple places and the shower had hair left behind in it. That was our let down with our stay. As far as communication with property manager, fantastic! Couldn't have been happier with her response time and kindness. We also appreciate that she was willing to forward our observations to the housekeeping for other future guests. We would definitely come back. Charged ~20% extra since my kids (age 2 and 1) counted as “guests” and threatened to be charged more for wear and tear or extra cleaning. Even after I told them my kids would sleep with us it didn’t matter. Felt like I was being micro-managed and was reminded how many neighbors they have watching us (they said it nicer than this but this is what they meant). Both showers not updated - perhaps 5-10 years. If it’s newer then just poorly managed. Water pressure not good (horrible for after a long day in sun and pool/beach). Water temperature not consistent and they need a plumber in there to fix. The shower door was rusty on the bottom and “fell apart” during our stay. We found fire ants and a centipede. We live in Honolulu and have family in Big Island and understand pests/bugs really well here. Suggest they treat professionally. The positives - Location has pool on property that’s warm and great for families (depth starts at 1 foot) Complex safe and well maintained overall. Easy parking even for multiple cars. Even though ground level, able to adjust doors for safety and allow for air flow. Fans were strong and quiet. Kept fairly cool at night even without AC. The space is large and comfortable. Aug 2, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy We had a first floor condo, the check-in was very smooth, we were able to check in a couple of hours earlier after contacting management, they were very accommodating. The number pad was very convenient, no fussing with a key. The floor plan was great, I liked the kitchen opening right into the main room. We all enjoyed the screened patio, and the beds were fantastic! Incredibly comfortable mattresses. We were here on the Big Island for a women's snorkeling trip, the condo was located well to snorkel on the south and north side. Also very close to the shopping center. Comfortable and clean. Fans all over which were helpful and necessary as it’s hot and humid on Big Island. Nice amenities- beach gear, snorkeling gear, beach towels, cooler. Fully stocked kitchen. LOVED the grassy area off the lanai to run around with my baby. In addition to being a very comfortable and restful stay for my husband and 1 year old, the booking host Sandy was 10/10 communicative, kind, and friendly. She went above and beyond to give me one or two key tips on how to make my stay extea special with a baby. Would gladly stay again next time I visit. ##### Lydia D. The lanai was perfect to relax on and watch the kids play on the grass. Parking is close, kitchen well equipped, great instructions and welcome basket, beach/pool supplies were plentiful. Beds were super comfortable. Wonderful communication. Definitely will return and stay in this peaceful and plentiful condo. ##### Shannon S. Will Stay here again. This unit is very nice; exactly as described and shown in the photos. Although not a waterfront property the view was very lovely, and quiet. The open living/dining/kitchen area is very nice, and the kitchen is well stocked. The beds are comfortable, and the bedrooms have plenty of storage. We appreciated the fans in every room. The location is great; 2-minute walk to the ocean view or pool; 2-minute drive to grocery/shopping in one direction and 2-minute drive in the other direction to the Kahalu’u Beach Park (excellent snorkeling). I might add the grounds are well maintained and beautiful, and the complex is gated. As stated previously, we will stay here again on a future visit to the Big Island. ##### Joseph C.
