Unwind at this beautiful oceanfront resort property situated in a lush tropical paradise with an "Old Hawaii" feel. Surrounded by heavenly-scented plumeria, flowering hibiscus, ginger and brilliant bougainvillea, your cares will melt away as you relax on your own private lanai, just 100 feet from the ocean! Sip a morning cup of Kona coffee while watching humpback whales or spinner dolphins. Enjoy spectacular sunsets from the private palm-lined beach just steps away, or lie on the lanai's twin-sized lounger gazing up at the stars while listening to the sound of waves crashing on the lava rocks below. This condo is spacious (nearly 1300 square feet) and feels like a real home with its spectacular ocean views and central air conditioning! There is no additional charge for running the AC during your stay. You will also enjoy ultra-high speed internet WiFi service, living room with big screen HD Smart TV with Spectrum HD Cable (cable and flat panel TV's in both bedrooms, too), DVD player and library, dining room and full-sized kitchen. The kitchen is complete with coffee maker and grinder, Brita filtered water pitcher, waffle maker, blender, martini shaker, and all the necessary cooking utensils and dishes for preparing meals at home if you choose. The primary bedroom has a California King size bed and private bath with double sinks and walk-in shower; there are sunset ocean views from the primary bedroom. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and another bathroom just across the hall. There are also beach towels, coolers and a beach umbrella and chairs for your use. We have completed a major kitchen and bathroom remodel in addition to redecorating and updating the unit to make your stay even more enjoyable. This is a non-smoking property, including inside the condo, on the lanai, and all of the common areas and grounds of the complex. Amenities of the resort complex include lush tropical gardens with fountains and many blooming plants, a courtyard swimming pool, private sand beach with palm trees, cabana with shower and restrooms, gas grills for outdoor cooking, outdoor eating area with tiki torches, and a spectacular ocean-front salt-water pool and sunning area. There is also free secure private parking, an on-site laundry facility, and a commercial building with beauty and barber shop, spa, and convenience store/deli for picking up food items or a bottle of wine. There is an area where you can fish just steps from our front door! We are located in the popular and highly-rated Casa de Emdeko complex on world-famous Ali'i Drive, just one mile south of Kailua-Kona village, the quaint and original resort town of the Big Island, with many wonderful shops, galleries and restaurants. We are also close to Keauhou Bay with its many water activities. In fact, this condo is the perfect base to explore all the attractions of the Big Island. The kitchen had many helpful items already stocked, from coffee filters to spices. We appreciated the gift basket too - by far the best after having stayed in four other rental properties in Kona previously. The view was better than expected and with a very large lani we found ourselves outside daily. The complex amenities were also unbeatable - the oceanside pool and bbq grills. We came on a shoulder season but we were very impressed with how quiet it was and we were on a middle floor. We especially loved the bottled water and the Brita water filter which allowed us to make delicious coffee. Other guests were quiet and respectful in the public spaces. Loved the Blowing of the Conch as the sunset. The owners were very quick in responding to our questions as well as friendly and hospitable. The kitchen lacks for nothing and it's immaculately clean. The TVs are high definition good quality with about a zillion channels. The kids picked up that this is a quiet condo community, and went with it. The view from the lanai is unbeatable! The condo had everything we needed to make our first trip to Hawaii a great one. It is so close to restaurants and beaches. Less than a 10 minute drive to so many cool places. We walked to a great little coffee shop each morning. Did I mention the lanai? The views are breathtaking. Along the seawall of the condo we saw eel, crabs, and a few fish. We will definitely visit again. Relying on the reviews of others, we booked it sight unseen. We loved it and are going back again next year. Even though I am handicapped it wasn't challenging to move around the property. An outstanding "welcome" basket was a surprise! Main living area is spacious and the lanai is absolutely perfect. The retractable sun shades on the lanai are of a high quality. CasaKona is one of the best. We felt very comfortable and "at home". This was our first stay in a 2 bedroom and loved the very spacious lanai, with an exceptional view of the ocean and breaking waves. We have always had wonderful vacations but we all agree that Brent’s place really made this trip so special. Waking up to the ocean and coming home to a gorgeous sunset after a day of exploring the island was really beyond words. Beyond the condo being lovely and having the best ever Hawaiian vibe, the location was perfect! It was a short drive to Kona and a mid spot for visiting other parts of the island. Brent was also a wonderful host. As we were traveling there was talk about the approaching hurricane and when we contacted him he responded quickly to all of our concerns and questions!
