The property was very spacious and clean, with easy reserved parking. In the heart of downtown Kona with plenty of restaurants and stores within steps of the front entrance. Under property condition I gave it 3 stars because it is dated and needs some renovation, but the location, ocean view and cleanliness to me outweighed that. Cannot beat the view -having coffee and wine on the balcony overlooking the Pacific Ocean was amazing , we love to people watch so we enjoyed watching the activity on Ali’i. Walked to dinner every night. Bed was comfortable and we slept great . Having a designated parking spot was a plus. I saw other comments about the telephone wires and noise - but we didn’t have an issue with either. Sep 28, 2024 Liked: Check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Great location for in town I was thrilled with the location and assigned parking, making it a great location to stroll the waterfront or head out in a car to explore farther locations on the island. We were disappointed with the cleanliness (mainly the floor), lack of renovation in the second bath. We removed shoes when we checked in (as we usually do in homes in Hawaii), and later found the bottom of our feet were black. Didn't go barefoot after that! While the listing mentioned the upgraded kitchen (true), the second bath was a big disappointment! A very sloppy job was done to remove the bathtub to create a very small shower and room for the stacked washed dryer. The tub faucet was left on the wall of the "new" shower to bang your shins against! Also the door was looking pretty ragged with a lot of corrosion - just looked out of place with the kitchen updating. The location was everything we hoped it would be, just a little disappointed with the cleanliness and lack of updating throughout the unit to match the kitchen. ##### David S. Loved the central AC and fan, the two bathrooms, and waking up to the sound of the ocean. The only thing I didn't love was the feeling of the floor tiles, I know the floor was probably cleaned but the texture of the tiles made it feel like it wasn't so. However, it didn't negatively impact our stay. Also, was concerned about pests in the Big Island, but we didn't see a single pest. This well appointed condo is right in the center of town. We walked to the local variety of shops and amazing restaurants. Every night we sat on the deck and listened to the sounds of the ocean and the local musicians playing different venues. This condo is a place for relaxing and enjoying the locale faire. You will be a couple of blocks from the farmers market, sand beaches for swimming, the pier to take a body glove whale watching boat. Perfect for a couple or family vacation! ##### Nancy H. Other nights were quiet. Coffee & Breakfast on balcony in mornings watching sunrise & ocean & hearing ocean-priceless! Well appointed kitchen for all our needs. The Lani was our favorite spot when not exploring the island. It had a great view of the bay and always had a breeze. For us, the location was perfect along the main strip of downtown Kona with many eating establishments, attractions and beautiful sunsets. Central location to other parts of the island make quick and easy access to beaches, snorkeling, surfing and not a bad drive to volcano National park. Ac was beneficial for sleeping at night on humid days in August. There is somewhat of a homeless population on the island but the security to the building and it’s facilities was excellent! Condo was well stocked for our needs. We consider this unit a great value for a small family or couple. ##### stacy H. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. For people who want to stay in the heart of restaurant and shops, this would be OK, but the noise level on the street made this second floor condo less than desirable. Indeed, there was a view of the water, but the photo online didn’t show quite the extent of the very thick powerline and power poles There was a warning about noise, but it was worse than I expected with the bass thumping of car radios as they drove by on the main drag just below me. The assigned parking space was oddly shaped and right up against the building wall. I am amazed I didn’t take my side mirror off. Sep 28, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy 海の目の前のオーシャンビューでエアコン、駐車場も付いていて快適でした。バスルームが２つあったので2人同時にシャワーを使えるのも良かったです。シャワーの水圧も強く快適でした。１つのバスルームにはバスタブもありました。調理器具とお皿類、いくつかの調味料もあったので料理も問題なく出来ました。徒歩圏内にいくつもお店があり、急に何か食べたくなっても選択肢がいくつもあり良かったです。前の道路は交通量が多く、大音量で音楽を流しながら走る車も通りますが、そういう車はたまに通るだけなのでそこまで気にならなかったです。部屋からの景色がとても良く、目の前の海でイルカが跳ねているのも見えました。またコナに来たらここに泊まりたいです。This room has a great view and clean.All of the necessary equipments and amenities were prepared.Two bathrooms and the pressure of the shower was great.I would like to stay here again. ##### HIROMI Y.
