Such a cozy ocean front cottage with everything you could need, including strong WIFI! This was very important to us since we work from home, so being able to have Zoom calls from the Lanai was fantastic! Whales, dolphins, and surfers right out your back door. To note: No AC - which isn't too bad, with all the fans running at night. The ocean is LOUD at night with all windows open. Carla was at the property when we arrived working on an adjacent property so we had the opportunity to meet in person. The lanai was so nice that we spent a lot of time watching the dolphins, fish, turtles and sunset. My husband actually slept on it as he wanted to hear the ocean while sleeping. The ocean sound was also heard in the bedrooms. The walk to Kona was only a few minutes and we did this each day during our stay, but as soon as we arrived back at the cottage, we were outside. The wall that separated the cottage and ocean was a great place to find some sea shells! There is a television available as well as WIFI. We did not use the tv as the lanai provided our entertainment. We would definitely book the cottage again! ##### Sandra T. It was great to have the beach next door and every night we would enjoy cocktails on the porch watching local surfers and the sunset. It was nice to be walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops. At first we were nervous about no AC but it was not a problem at all, in fact I liked it more without it because the fans and cross breeze kept the place cool and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this cottage and stay there again if I'm lucky enough to return to Kona. ##### jessica a. The lanai is perfect for outdoor living and entertaining. It’s equiped with everything you might need for a trip to the island. It was a perfect space for two kids and two adults. A nicely-equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare most meals at home and we were in walking distance of the fun restaurants when we wanted to eat out. We traveled to every part of the island from the cottage - it was an ideal base location. The location was top notch and we enjoyed drinking coffee on the lanai while watching surfers each morning. The views were spectacular and we were lucky enough to see dolphins spinning and jumping as well as turtles, beautiful birds and tropical fish. The coastline is rocky and not the best for swimming or snorkeling although there are plenty of spots to dip your feet as well as a sandy beach next door. The interior of the home is well appointed and comfortable. Being close to all the shops and restaurants was ideal and can make for a nice walk without the need to drive. Carla was a wonderful and caring host and even followed up after our stay to see how our time was. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to no air conditioning. However, there are plenty of fans that work well to cool down the house. During the day it can become warm inside (we didn't find this as an issue since we spent our days outside). The fans do a great job cooling everything down by evening allowing for a comfortable sleep. We'd definitely stay here again and recommend others do as well. ##### Sharon W. We spent more time on the lanai than inside the house! There is no air conditioning but opening all windows and using fans kept the place just fine. Bring ear plugs if a bit of road noise will bother u at night. Kitchen was stocked with all utensils we needed, plenty of towels, snorkel and boogie boards. Great location.
