You will be so comfortable at this 2 bedroom ground floor condo in Keauhou. A view of the ocean across the beautiful Keauhou Country Club Golf Course from the large living area, master bedroom and spacious covered lanai with it's own little garden area. Country Club Villas has tennis courts, several swimming pools (one right near this unit) and free assigned parking for one. \*\*\*AC units are in bedrooms only\*\*\* \*\*\*In order to access this unit there are 2 small flights of stairs. The parking lot and walkways fall on the 2nd floor level of Country Club Villas\*\*\* This condo has had a renovation including the kitchen, both baths, flooring and décor. You'll find everything you need from coffee grinder to hair dryer to surf/boogie boards! Convenient location near the Keauhou Shopping center which has a grocery store, Longs Drug Store, several eateries, bookstore, a movie theatre and the Kalona beauty spa/salon. About 5 miles from Kona town where of course you can have your choice of many activities, seasonal festivities, restaurants, nightclubs and more. La Aloha (aka Magic Sands) Beach Park and Kahalu'u Beach park are not far away. Use this lovely home away from home for your "home base" while you explore all that the Big Island has to offer from enchanting waterfall hikes, horseback riding, helicopter and fixed wing tours, ziplines, the changes at Volcano National Park, sailing, snorkeling and diving and..........well, the list is nearly endless. Gave 4 rather than 5 stars just because we paid top dollar as it was over the IRONMAN and there are a few things to tidy up like the blinds having missing slates and so the room never got dark, we had a few days without hot water because of a power cut. It took 3-4 hours for it to become acceptable! The shower was not cleaned! This is a condo from hell! Ruined what was supposed to be a dream vacation. The key in the lock box is a little off as the cut is a little off (had this happen at home too so...) The front door was a little difficult to open. But a little sanding would fix that. The unit was bright, clean and had all kinds of kitchen accessories. The slider in the living room was extremely difficult to open but management came over and got it to open much easier. Loved the showers, the deck and the view was nice too. The one issue I had with the place was that there were termites in the kitchen area. I know we are in Hawaii and there are bugs...I've lived on the islands before and you cannot escape them. Management stated that exterminators would be there after we left so I am hoping that got that resolved for future guests. I saw two small cockroaches in 10 days...but that was it! We had two small geckos in the house that were hopefully taking care of them! As long as the termite issue is addressed I would not hesitate to rent this unit again. ##### Tina B. The entry door would only open 2 feet and the shower head in the secondary bathroom spewed water throughout the bathroom. A handyman had to respond to fix both. The doorway could not be fixed because of wood rot on the door frame. The kitchen cabinets were infested with termites, and we had to deal with wood droppings on the counters and stove top daily. Irritating thing is when we reported the termites to the rental agency, they already knew about it but gave us no forewarning. The oven handle was broken, and there were five slats missing from the vertical blinds in the living room leading to the lanai. We could draw the blinds but could not close them making complete privacy impossible. Also, the ceiling fan in the living room and bedrooms were stuck on one speed. The unit itself is nice and roomy, but definitely in need of repair and update. It has the appearance and feel of being shabby. My rating on cleanliness was because of the termite infestation. ##### byron w. It was spacious for our family of 4\. We enjoyed eating outside at night and enjoyed our coffee in the AM. The location is great as you can get north/south easily but it’s quiet in the development. The view is fabulous and the location is wonderful. The house was clean and the property manager did a great job of taking care of our concerns. Only thing to be aware of is the air conditioning is in the bedrooms only. The units work OK, but don't expect air in the whole condo. ##### patty k. The kitchen had more than I expected for small appliances. There were plenty of beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella. The Property Manager was accommodating with all of our requests and was so prompt in responding to any request we made to her. Would definitely stay here again. ##### Weldon L.
