Nice environment with friendly helpful concierge, room was clean. Could be better if concierge and front desk could speak and understand English. Service standard for a Pullman hotel was quite a disappointment. Firstly, receptionists were always looking down on their phone rather than greeting their guest when we return to the hotel- that just make guests feel unwelcome. There were smokers in cafe within the hotel and I had to request for a non smoking area but was told that public area "should be" smoke-free - service standards not upheld! Cakes in cafe looks delicious but was a mediocre. My very diluted tea was served with a miserable one-cup tea bag in a pot of hot water?!! I had to request for a cup of hot water with a new tea bag. Breakfast restaurant was disappointing- milk was not refilled for coffee machine, no labels on small cheese platter, no tools to serve cheese, labels on pastries were mixed up even when it was written in dual languages. Had asked to speak with the manger but was told that he was in the morning meeting. There was no attempt from front desk to address any of my concerns.
