As you walk through the door of this Hawaiiana tropical style decorated one bedroom/two bathroom, ground floor unit you will feel right at home. This condo is located on the ground level at Kuilima Estates East, a gated community adjacent to the luxurious 850 acre Turtle Bay Resort (the most spacious resort in Hawaii) on the 18th hole of the famous Turtle Bay Fazio Golf Course. The condo complex itself is beautifully landscaped and has 2 heated swimming pools, tennis courts, BBQ areas, and outdoor showers. The unit is decorated in a Hawaiiana tropical style with elegant Tommy Bahama furnishings. The master bedbroom has a queen size bed with its own full bathroom. The living room has a sofa bed couch which converts to a full size bed. There is also a fold out futon mattress which sleeps the fifth person. The screened-in lanai opens to a grassy area and a beautiful, unobstructed view of the golf course. The unit also comes equipped with: washer and dryer, AC units and ceiling fans in both the bedroom and living room, free high speed WiFi-internet access, two flatscreen TVs w/ digital cable. Kitchen amenities include a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, and all items necessary to prepare meals at home. The onsite manager lives nearby should any need arise on your vacation. Assigned parking is provided for guests as well as additional guest parking available upon request. The beaches are just a quick walk from your front door. There are 5 miles of secluded beachfront walking paths for you to explore and 12 miles of biking, hiking, and jogging trails. You can see sea turtles and dolphins all year round and humpback whales in the winter from this area. Just a 5 minute walk from the condo you will find the beautiful grounds of the resort which includes 5 restaurants (indoor and outdoor), a bar where you can sip a tropical drink, listen to live entertainment while you enjoy a breathtaking sunset, snorkel or relax on the beach. In addition, the Turtle Bay Resort offers: two championship 18 hole golf courses, world class tennis courts, day spa services and yoga/fitness classes, horseback riding, surfing lessons, helicopter rides, bike rentals, moped rentals, segway tours/rentals, and a car rental desk and services. A short drive will take you to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and to some of the most famous surfing spots are on the North Shore, such as the Pipeline, Sunset Beach, and Waimea Bay. In the town of Hale’iwa there are quaint shops including Matsumoto’s (famous for Hawaiian shaved ice) and the North Shore’s shrimp trucks. Honolulu/Waikiki is about a 60-minute drive and the Polynesian Cultural Center is a 5 minute drive away. Notes: The condo comes with initial supplies of 2 rolls toilet paper per bathroom, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and liquid hand soap. For the kitchen, a roll of paper towel, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, garbage bags and laundry soap. We also provide some beach gear, including beach towels, boogie boards, and beach chairs. It was well furnished. It is just a couple blocks from the Ritz Carlton and we walked to the sunset bar and watched several gorgeous sunsets there. The city of Haleiwa was 20 mins away; great local shopping & food. An hour away from Honolulu. We stopped at several beaches on the way there. Pali Lookout in Honolulu was superb. The lagoons were about an hour away and so cool. Having a nice place that was reasonably well maintained and clean really helped us feel at home. It was nice to have the screen door enclosed patio area in back too. Giving the hosts a better heads up on when we would arrive might have saved us some time at the front gate so they could know when to buzz us in for the first night before we had our key fob. Only minor complaints were proximity to neighbors as you could hear them a bit with the thin walls. Also the mattress was a little too firm and bouncy for my ideal level of comfort. But overall a great place to stay. We could walk out the back through the golf course to get to the beach in about 10 min. ##### Jonathan H. Bathtub valve doesn't work, making it impossible to fill the tub. Bedroom glass door tracks are old and filthy. I had to struggle to close the door. The whole place needs a deep cleaning. Wish we had more time. ##### Voyageur vérifié Séjour de 1 nuit en janvier 2024 ### 2/10 – Terrible #### Elena Voyage en famille 14 oct. 2023 Points faibles : Propreté, état et installations de l’hébergement This condo was incredibly dirty, with filthy floors (and they emphasized that we must walk barefoot which we actually do in our own home and gladly do in Hawaiiin general), dust everywhere including window screens and surfaces, sand in fold out bed, musty smell throughout, dirty bed sheets, mold in fridge, etc. I found a huge dead bug in the bedroom. I seriously considered leaving the premesis except for the location is fairly remote with no options to stay elsewhere except for 1 expensive resort nearby, and we were at the very end of our vacation. The proximity to Turtle Bay is nice, and we had a lovely dinner at the resort's restaurant. The condo complex is dated and a bit run down, but acceptable. Not our first time staying in a condo in Hawaii, but by far and absolutely the worst experience. Oh, they warn you that you must turn off all electric when leaving the condo and not use air conditioning "excessively" or they'll charge you extra if the meter reading is "high" upon your departure... this experience probability ruined my chances of ever renting with VRBO again. ##### Elena Séjour de 2 nuits en octobre 2023 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Candice P. 21 juill. 2023 Points forts : Propreté #### Nice Turtle Bay Condo We had a short stay on the NS for a weekend event, and everything was great. It was exactly has described. The sofa bed is not really comfortable but I was not expecting otherwise. It was very well equipped with beach toys, kids floaters and towels.
