"It’s a very grand hotel with amazing view of the Sakuajima. Loved the onsen! Great services and a good variety and quality of breakfast. The only thing that bothered me was the thin walls of the room it can get a bit noisy at night, but everything else was good enough to make up for the only problem. The hotel also has nice souvenir shops. "

"Absolutely fantastic stay at hotel Nakahara Bessou in Kagoshima! The staff here are exceptional. They were very friendly and even helped us book a rental car and ferry to yakushima. The rooms are as described, very clean and spacious. The onsen in the evenings was divine. I would highly recommend for your stay in Kagoshima."

"Stayed one night after taking a train down from Fukuoka to check out the city. Very close to the train station so I could store my luggage at the station before checking in to the hotel. I checked in later in the day after arriving to Kagoshima in the AM. Check in was very simple and quick. Desk clerk understood my Japanese/English mix. Some descent restaurants in the area. Room was comfortable for one. Stayed in many APA hotels in Japan. Inexpensive room but I’m not hanging out in the room...
