We are located right on the beach and a few steps away from Whalers Village. VRBO walking map is incorrect. I think it is about 30 steps from our building to the sand. The pool and spa are right next to the beach walk. If you prefer an oasis of tranquility over the many crowded resorts in the area, look no further than Aston at The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach. Comprised of two 12-story mid-century towers on six acres of lush landscape including a lovely koi pond with a waterfall, this condo-hotel offers full kitchens with a variety of room configurations and captivating views. Enjoy the peace and quiet from the swimming pool overlooking the ocean or a stroll around the beautifully manicured grounds. For a joyful start to your day, join us for fish feedings at 8:30 am each morning at the Koi Pond. Our large two-bedroom condo is over 1400 square feet and is equipped with a full-size kitchen, central air conditioning with separate units in each bedroom, new Samsung Flat Screen Smart TV’s in the living room and both bedrooms, Wi-Fi, bed linens, towels, washer and dryer (stacked) including detergent. It was tastefully updated in December 2019 and more updating in 2021 to include new plush carpeting, wood ceiling treatments with recessed LED lights controlled by dimmer switches to set the lighting according to your needs. Our choices of furnishings were designed for comfort and convenience conducive to the tropical climate without compromising on the everyday amenities that we've all come to enjoy at home. We've stocked our kitchen with lots of cooking essentials, a rice cooker, BBQ utensils, and extra baking tools for those inclined. We thoroughly enjoy the luxury of cooking and entertaining in our open kitchen. Our large master bedroom features an extremely comfortable king bed, all down-like pillows, a 55” new Samsung TV with extras for added convenience. Large guest bedroom has (2) Queen sized beds and a Queen size sofa sleeper in the living room. New 65" Samsung Smart TV in the living room with free cable TV and Wi-Fi throughout the condo. Both bedrooms, the living room, and dining room have direct access to the 500 square foot wrap-around lanai through large sliding glass doors to enjoy the ocean and West Maui mountain views. Start your morning with a leisurely breakfast on your lanai and enjoy the beautiful ocean view. If you happen to be one of the lucky ones here visiting during whale season, just sit back and marvel at the magnificent show of the humpback whales as they glide gracefully through the water. It's only a short stroll next door to the Whalers Village, the largest outdoor shopping center on Maui. You'll find a myriad of fine restaurants including Hula Grill, Monkeypod, and Leilani's on the Beach or casual family dining, convenience stores, boutique shopping, first class art galleries, live entertainment and so much more. There is also plenty of beach and snorkel equipment. The only thing we bought were our own snorkels. The property and location is perfect. So easy to dash to the shops and restaurants at Whaler’s village and catch the sunset cruise with Sea Maui. Sometimes the service dock of Whaler’s Village was a bit loud but it was not an issue for us at all. Great views of mountains and the ocean. Enjoy sunrise and sunset from the lanai. The location couldn’t be more convenient — steps from shops, restaurants, and right on a beautiful beach with tons of activities like snorkeling, parasailing, and jet skiing available just outside the door.The condo itself was spotless and well-maintained, with very comfortable beds and pillows that made for restful nights. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals, and the wraparound porch offered great views — perfect for morning coffee or evening sunsets. We also appreciated the thoughtful extras like beach chairs, toys, and other beach gear.The only thing to note is that the balcony faces Whalers Village, so you do hear the low hum of AC units. It didn’t bother us much, but it’s worth mentioning if you are looking for very quiet Overall, a fantastic stay in a clean, comfortable condo with unbeatable access to everything Maui has to offer. First time staying at Whaler in over 30 years and so grateful we found Keith and his property. Our family of 5 have been going to Maui for many years always staying at the Sheraton which we love. With our kids now young adults we needed more space. The unit is a great layout for a family, clean, well outfitted and importantly Keith was easy and responsive to coordinate. The photos are exactly what is in this condo. Of all the condos we rented this one had everything you could need and more! The beach is steps away and the sand is very soft. The pool was warm and there were always chairs available. We enjoyed the balcony and the views. Having beach chairs, an umbrella, the wagon and more was great. The beds were very comfortable and the condo was very clean! .We would definitely stay here again. Keith was always very responsive with any questions. The location is fabulous - close to the beach, next to the shopping center, with several great restaurants nearby. The condo itself is light and bright, with lots of windows and high ceilings, comfy furniture. Beds, shower, AC are all great - we especially appreciated being able to set the temperature differently in the different rooms. Kitchen was fully stocked - the only thing missing was a kitchen sponge. The only slight criticism that I would mention is that this condo is on the back corner of the building, so the ocean view is limited. However there’s a beautiful view of the mountain. ##### Diana L. I highly recommend this unit. The owner has thought of everything. Beautifully decorated, well-equipped kitchen, great views, comfortable beds, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, coolers, right down to board games, post it notes, and plastic bags for keeping things fresh. There is also a large parking garage beneath this tower, so one elevator ride makes grocery shopping and getting on the Road to Hanna a breeze. Just like home but better because you’re in beautiful Maui on a well manicured resort, with great restaurants, high-end shopping, a beautiful pool, and of course a beautiful beach to watch the perfect sunsets! My family and I landed in Maui in the evening of the Lahaina fires. As soon as we landed we learned that we could not get to Ka’anapali because of the fires which at the time were causing road closures. Not only was Keith in communication with us the minute we landed, but he went out of his way to ensure that our family of 6 found safe shelter. He even went to the length of posting an sos on Facebook, leading us to find an incredibly kind family that took us into their business for the night and then eventually connected us to someone for a rental. From the start Keith communicated that we would get reimbursed and really seemed to care more about our safety than insuring his money for the rental. So while I cannot comment on the condo itself, if you are looking for a reliable host that you can count on for being a good human being, Keith is your guy.
