Later I saw a cockroach. The bedsheets had stains and shower curtain was covered in mold and mildew. I am pregnant and was also worried about the fumigation that was scheduled the next day for the entire floor. I wrote a note to refuse the fumigation for my unit for my safety but the unit definitely needed it. I immediately contacted the property manager KBM and the next day they were very helpful in finding me a new unit in the same building. They were very responsive and professional and I understand it’s a tropical destination but this place made me so uncomfortable. I was very disappointed and stressed out by the condition of the unit as I’ve stayed at Honua Kai previously for my wedding and honey moon and wanted to return for my babymoon this time. ##### Shelley M. The resort, beach and pools were just what we were after! Our kids had a great time in the pools and especially the slide. Our 20 month old couldnt get enough of the slide actually! The property is beautiful, we'll definitely stay here again. If I had one complaint, it was our dryer wouldnt dry no matter how many times we ran a cycle.
