This was a terrific property and we would recommend it to anyone looking for quiet as well as activity. The pool was close as was the parking garage. Great area along the beach for walking and running. The waves were higher and stronger than I would be comfortable having children near but just a short drive from a good beach for littles as well as walking distance to shopping and food. Great location, walking distance to some of the best snorkeling in Maui. Also can take a 5 minute bus ride to the best shopping in Maui. Great place, will definitely be back! ##### LEO B. Your advertisement is deceiving. I thought the location was closer to the beach front. I had to make a maintenance call on day 1 and this was very inconvenient. My first day was unacceptable and definitely not worth the money I paid. Two locks were broken on the door and only one was repaired. One of the shelves on the refrigerator door was broken and it was unable to be used to store items. Apparently two of the closets are used for owners supplies and the doors were not locked and there was no sign on the doors indicating we could not used these areas. We had problems with the TV operating and had to keep going to the front desk to get them to repair. I am visiting from Houston, TX. This was my first experience staying in a vacation rental. It was not a good experience. My next visit I will stay in a hotel where I will get the value of my money spent. ##### Vickie Y. If you walk to the north it’s awesome beaches If you walk south (thru the Sheraton) it’s great beaches. Plus you can jump off the black rocks and see the Sheraton sunset torch lighting ceremony. 10min drive to Lahina shops, restaurants and banyan tree. Aug 22, 2019 Liked: Check-in, location Disliked: Cleanliness, communication, listing accuracy #### Extremely disappointed We decided to give VRBO a try and everything went through a company called Home Away, And in short this proved to be nothing short of a major mistake. We were able to get a unit at the Maui ElDorado but that’s really where the benefits of using VRBO/home away stops. Maybe if the vacation was no more than 10 days using a service like this is would not that bad, as you do save money however with that said a vacation that is longer than that I would strongly recommend not using the service as the few dollars that you may save is not worth the conveniences that you give up. Vacationers must remember you give up all hotel type conveniences short of it being a unit emergency. If you need anything like extra towels, extra blankets, extra pillows we were told to call the home away management company and “they may drop some off at your unit “ even when dealing with issues regarding the unit the condominium management (ElDorado) does not give high priority to the Home-away tenets. It should be noted that At one point Home-away did offer to refund a prorated amount of our stay and when I looked at moving my family given the short notice and time a year the cost would’ve been exorbitant, but I do strongly believe that the management company (HomeAway) already knew that (it’s what they do).What all of this has taught us is one we will never again use VRBO/home away and two the Maui Eldorado has lost long-term visitors because they failed at accommodating too. These are some of the issues we experienced: No bath tub ( though was advised as having one) that’s why we chose this unit over others. AC unites not able to cool or dehumidify the unit AC unite froze up and leaked water through ceiling on our heads Oven did not work for a few days, but was fixed Ant poison was put out in clear reach of anyone (children) & was leaving on the floor Floors throughout had been vacuumed but not mopped, were absolutely filthy Utensils In kitchen we’re rusty Very slow drains throughout Pool area nice ( really only good for young children) Hot tub was warm at best Broken counter top and cabinet door Cabana staff was not very friendly ##### Robert N. Very musty smell in dresser and could not use it. Sofa was musty smelling and ,cupboard door was broken and drawer.Sheets were always damp! I was told by company that I must sweat too much!They did offer to fix but , the maid should have reported before we arrived and repairs should have been made. I was treated disrespectfully by Maui properties and was called a constant complainer. I called 1x to report kitchen issues and 1x to get help w/tv. Would not recommend staying at this condo..
