"Reserva Amazonica is a beautiful property located 40mins by bost from Puerto Maldonado. We spent 2 nights there and generally had a good experience. The lodges are beautiful, clean and well equipped and staff is really nice and attentive. The nature surrounding the hotel is beautiful and there are some small animals / birds that can be found on property. The included excursions are interesting (we mostly enjoyed the canopy walk and lake Sandoval). Unfortunately, we were there during a cold spell...

"Very clean. Hot water. Friendly staff- speak English. Comfortable bed and AC. Mini fridge and tea kettle in room with mugs and plates which was convenient. "

"This was a last min book and for being a 5 star in Iquitos it was quite nice and a good break from the weather but with most pricy hotels, you pay for everything. We had gotten a room that was facing the pool area, very nice and quiet. We were then changed to a different room due to a “mistake” that was facing the plaza, meh it was super loud and not calming at all when you want a break from all the buzz. There’s a carafe to heat up water which is always a plus for me so that I don’t have to...

"Our experience was amazing! This was an experience that I have always dreamed about. The guides for the excursions were the best. They were so knowledgeable and friendly. I will never forget all the beautiful sounds that you wake up to in the rainforest. The lodge was very eco friendly and the rooms were very clean. The rooms only have three walls so it is normal to find an insect here and there. I will definitely be returning. "

"Firstly, ignore the map. The camp is 30 mins away by by boat on a side river off the Amazon surrounded by forest. Absolutely perfect location. Also the price includes various excursions depending on how long you stay including dolphin watching, rainforest walks - but not Iquitos. No shop, take everything you need. Camp is basic but food and staff are great. Noone speaks English at camp, if you don't, take a phrase book. We stayed 3 memorable days. Do the nighttime walk!"
