The property is a mix of a clean home with a modern well-equipped kitchen and some eclectic and fun furniture. Our son particularly enjoyed our movie night in the theatre chairs :). Would recommend ensuring you have adequate groceries and basic supplies purchased in the larger towns or further abroad such as Sooke or Lake Cowichan prior to making your way to this small fishing village. Over the years, we have stayed at at least four different vacation rentals. Everything about the accommodation was better than the other ones except for three small items. It was substantially larger, had a nice yard and fire pit \[which we were unable to use due to fire restrictions\] and space to play yard games, lots of room inside, all the beds are comfortable the kitchen was well equipped. There Are the three issues for us, 1 no barbecue, 2 no soap, or body wash in the shower. \[lots of shampoo and conditioner\] and three the TV was set up for Roku , which we found difficult to navigate .. The help of a 12 or 14 year old probably would've been useful. not the end of the world, but frustrating when we were trying to watch a football game. The sauna was a lovely addition and the house slept 6 people very comfortably. Close to the beach and lots of fun places to explore!
